Allows you to use a socket and not worry about the wire being caught up in it since it has the slot on the side.

Honestly it took my friend dale and I about 45 min to do mine but I have heard as long as 1 1/2 hours due to siezed bolts.

done my install lastnight first time ever doing a header on a cobalt and it took me like an 1.5 hours to get it done right, took my time and had a few somke breaks/ beers in between so not to bad for my first ecotec.
