I'm pretty sure that I remember seeing one, but all you have to do is pull and and they will pop off.

Ok, so I went out and bought a cd player just for the face plate (sad, I know), and now that I've removed the face portion of the deck, I've noticed that there is a motherboard still attached to the back of the face plate. Is this a generic board, or do I have to swap the motherboard on my deck to this plate when switching the two? Basically, what I need to know is if the radio ID is stored inside the deck or on this motherboard before I swap.

Thanks.

Would I be an abolute idiot if I tried masking it instead of removing the pieces? I can't seem to get them off and I don't wanna break em..

yes that is a very stupid way to do this as you would have to mask off the entire interior of the vehicle so that you don't get overspray everywhere. just keep trying, you do have to use a little bit of force due to the clips that hold them on. but i would highly recommend against painting them while still on the car.

Yeah, he makes a good point here about the overspray. I just took mine out today, and although it seems pretty tough, the parts are more durable than you might think. The bigger pain in the butt is getting all of the switchgear unattached from the trim pieces without breaking anything. Patience is definitely key here.

ya even i had one of the little switch holders break a little bit but everything holds up fine. just keep tugging and they will come off. if you're afraid of breaking it just due little tugs if your ballzy it should just come off with one good tug. i take no responsibility if anything breaks though.

So after tracking down all those parts for the cd player, HVAC controls, and steering wheel bezels, here's what the final outcome looks like:

The pics don't look so great using flash on the camera, but it was dark out so I had no choice. Overall though, I'm very happy with the results.

No, it's not real CF. But it's done using a water immersion process in conjuction with a base coat/clear coat process. It's WAY better than those stickers you see on eBay. We have to pass all of the rigorous testing that GM mandates before we can sell these to the public.

Well, the GM list price for the CF dash kit is $225, while the CF door bezel kit (yes, they're sold separately) retails for $65 for the coupe kit and $100 for the sedan door kit. However, if you were able to get a group buy together of say 10 people or more, then the price could drop significantly. With a group buy, we would also consider doing custom design work, seeing as how we have many different designs to offer, including several different carbon fiber designs.

You mean the same as the CF? Not at all. But the group would have to choose one particular style for that group buy. But there are so many variations of designs that we have, plus you can put any base coat beneath the design to match your ride if you want. I'll have to get some photo's uploaded so I can show you some of the patterns we carry.
