Interior: How To: Paint your dash
looking good ya'll. i plan on doing this once the weather gets a little better. i have plans to either custom paint or fiberglass my interior. i'm thinking the fiberglass will have to wait until the next winter when the SS is parked and i can strip everything out & take my time to ensure it gets done right.
I'm doing the painting right now, and I have one MAJOR problem. I'm doing all this stuff outside and it's a little bit windy. little bits of pieces of dirt keep sticking to the paint. I'm just going to finish the rest just because...but now my question is. If I wanted to re-do this would I just follow the same procedure as before?

im playing to do this next weekend but my only concern is my door trims, im doing laser blue color for my center peices since my car is the same color but i got blue interior and if i paint my door trim laser blue it will look out of place with the baby blue that comes on the interior doors, so should i paint my door trim black or leave it silver??
Wow. That looks REALLY good in yellow.
I'm surprised.
I'm new to painting.
What would have to be done to get that gloss coating?
Is it proper sanding (ie, sanding after primer)? Or just a lot of clearcoat?

there are 2 differen't types of clear coat. glossy and non-glossy. the glossy clear coat is what gives it that real nice shiny effect. and yes proper sanding and priming are also keys in getting a good outcome after you paint.
