Interior: How To: Paint your dash
Quick question, I've got all but one piece of my dash trim off...
How do you disconnect the FogLight switch (on an `05) from the trim piece?
It appears to come apart, but I haven't had any luck in getting the switch out of the trim.

Nevermind, I wasn't being forceful enough with the switches. I got everything out with a bit of help.
I'm all ready to start this project, although I noticed my Primer I bought was for body panels, not plastic, so I'll be making a late-night trip to the store tonight to exchange. Will post pics when done.

uhh so hopefully someone can answer this fairly quickly but..i did the paint and everything finished yesterday and today while i was still in bed my dad decided to start the clear
now the paint only finished like 24 hours ago .so he did a coat of clear on the worst piece possible (the radio section) and it went all orange peel , looks like the paint like soaked up half of it for moisture or something really weird..so ..solution????????? and wrong type of clear or what?
euro i agree with emperor. if you used 2 differen't brands like one brand for paint and grabbed another brand of clear they don't like to mix very well and you will get really shitty outcomes. what your gonna have to do is sand that piece down a bit, repaint and i would go out and get the same brand of clear coat as the paint your using. and remember do a few light layers not one heavy layer as clear coat is extremely touchy

.
n thank you
.n thank you
oh if your painting other stuff then its alright. I thought you were just gonna do that green, and then it wouldnt have matched anything and i would think the silver would have been better. but you got things under control

adhesion promotor is not a primer or is it a clear coat. Its an adhesion promoter and thats it. Sand the plastic trim pieces, spray adhesion promotor on it, let it sit like 5-10 minutes, whatever it says on the can, then apply your primer/paint. It helps the paint stick to the plastic. If you try to spray it as a clearcoat, your paint will turn very foggy and milky colored
all i did was take a 3m green scratch pad that u see to clean dishes sometimes n lightly sanded it, then sprayed it wit primer, couple coats of paint, then the clear coat
