I understand that white is power and black is ground o rth ehalos and leds. I was wondering if I could just run a wire from the black led wire and ground it to my chassis.

If you followed the how-to at all it work work fine. your connections are not up to par which is why they go in and out..

and for the last time... the halos/leds are NOT blue. there white. from the photo's they look blue but ARE NOT. there legal in all 50 states. if someone says there blue they have really bad eyesite. i have replaced all my leds to green and when i tested each led after removal there white.

You dident have to cut the wires all you have to do is pull on of the LED bulbs out and they all go out. (per side mind you)

Hey mkulrey13, thanks for your advice on installing the lights. One question...is there any way to make the halos brighter...just the halos...I'm pretty happy with everything else. It's just that when my low beam(or high beams for that matter) are on, you can barely see the halos. Any one know how to or if it's even possible?

when you wired those up do you turn your headlights on like you normally would and that turns the headlight on and then the hight beam turns on the halos and will it still work with the auto light feature and turn them on and off on their own.

Question HALO Projector Conversion and HID

Great how-to! I'll be wiring up the halos this way when mine come in.

Question:

I wanna grab a set of Halo projectors for the SS, but I'm reading comments about HID kits not being compatible with projector conversion kits since the HID bulbs are too long and hit the back of the projector lens. Now I know I've seen Cobalts with (seemingly) HID bulbs and the projectors - is there anything that I'm missing? Is there some kinda special projector conversion kit, or special HID bulbs that fit with these particular projectors?

- Kristiano

Mkulrey13 has the site (best shipped price you can get) and yes just solder the new ones on, I've seen a lot of ppl use two per halo to make it brighter but however you want to do it.

FYI - 2006 2.4L SS tapped into the blue wire... was for the turn signals. Not a big deal, but figured I'd try and save someone else some trouble.

Quick question... I want to wire them up to a switch. Let me know if this sound right.... I have a power wire going into the switch, and the wire coming out of the switch goes to the white wires, and the black wires get grounded? where can i ground them, or connect them to a ground wire?

NEVER run a live wire to a switch.... always run GND to teh switch and power directly to the source.
