i see a few poeple had the same prblem i did, with the dash lights and tail lights... if disconnected the battery you would have never had this problem... its caused by a blown fuse the fuse is labeled as parking lights replace it and all the lights will work again.

Yeah I have that on mine. Think I might put some black tape neatly along the top of the lamp housing, or maybe paint it black.

im not going to be responsible for what you do if you dont test voltage prior to splicing anything

but the light blue wire was the turn signal for me, black was ground

Hooked mine up today, I have the 09 ss, and i was just about to hook my LEDs to the orange wire(which i thought was the turn signal), when I noticed it was the blue wire that ran to the turn light, so I hooked it up to that instead. Ran the ground wires together and the positives to the brown, looks great. If you want some pics let me know

Is there some kinda special projector conversion kit, or special HID bulbs that fit with these particular projectors?

Anyone answer this after? I'm also wondering the same thing! I've read some people say they've had no trouble putting the HID bulbs in, but others saying they've had to modify the projector housing to fit the HID bulb in.

Also, I'm not sure if the ones who say they never had trouble with it are using the HID conversion kit (like ones you can pick up on eBay) with the 9007 HID bulb, or if they are using the D1S, D2R, or D2S HID bulb?

Anyone want to but these questions to rest? Please!?

Thanks mkulrey13. After more than 2 years this is still helping members as I just used this to install my Gen 1 projectors into the DD.

I guess tomorrow I will learn how to adjust them.

is there any way to make the halos brighter other than swapping out for ccfl? i bought some leds that are like 15000 mcd and they arent any brighter than the led's that came in my gen 1s. im wondering if having all of the leds wired up together is under powering them. any ideas?
