2.2 L61 Engine: Intake Mod for 2.2L Cobalts with pictures!!
Quoting myself, has anyone done logs??
I've never heard of it hurting the car, and frankly, I don't see how it could.
This is not something the inspection crew would even go to check - it's under the headlight and surrounded on all sides. They'd have to take the car apart to check.

It's fine when it rains. Nothing different.
Mine I removed the headlight and unbolted the splashguard from underneath, and in the wheel well.
I did it with the car on the ground. Pulled the thing out from the bottom.

was there any bending of the fender or any problems with removing it? people say that its hard to remove and that there is a lot of pulling/tugging, i dont want to accidentlly break/bend anything
Not at all. I only removed the wheel well splash guard (well, pulled it back) to get the pin out of the back of the resonator. Came out rather easily. I actually put it back in to take before and after pics.
ok. thanks. im gonna have my buddy help me with this possibley over the weekend, if not tm. im not good at that stuff but did you find that there was a good increase in trottle response and sound? some say that the sound only exposes when you shift, otherwise it sounds stock
Mine was always real sluggish between 2 - 3k and now it's alot smoother it actually helped throttle response much more than i thought. Not much faster but does have a little more pull between those rpms. I'm doing this because i don't want to spend the money on a CAI. I'm boosting next summer whoo hoo!!!
yea. still waiting for my buddy to help me. sometime within the next week or so he said he will be able to. this isnt gonna be perminant but i want some sound and a little better performance.
i finished it, and although i don't have a dyno sheet to prove it, u can feel the difference. Mostly in throttle response but i have noticed a slight increase in millage also. I mean the air box can get air much more efficiently now, how could that rob power? think about it.
just finished mine, i am not sure if i have noticed anything really, i have a cat back exhaust with the resonater on my exhaust off too. so my car is kinda loud already so i couldn't really hear a difference, i also have a stock intake, and throttle response we will see about in acouple of days after fooling around. took only 20 mins and worse case if i find nothing else, i need to change my air filter.
