Quoting myself, has anyone done logs??

I've never heard of it hurting the car, and frankly, I don't see how it could.

This is not something the inspection crew would even go to check - it's under the headlight and surrounded on all sides. They'd have to take the car apart to check.

how is it when it rains? how did you take yours out? by taking out the headlight like in the how to or did you go up from the bottom and using car ramps?

It's fine when it rains. Nothing different.

Mine I removed the headlight and unbolted the splashguard from underneath, and in the wheel well.

I did it with the car on the ground. Pulled the thing out from the bottom.

Not at all. I only removed the wheel well splash guard (well, pulled it back) to get the pin out of the back of the resonator. Came out rather easily. I actually put it back in to take before and after pics.

The sound increase confused some people - they thought I had an aftermarket exhaust system in the car. Throttle response was a tad better. Nothing significant.

Mine was always real sluggish between 2 - 3k and now it's alot smoother it actually helped throttle response much more than i thought. Not much faster but does have a little more pull between those rpms. I'm doing this because i don't want to spend the money on a CAI. I'm boosting next summer whoo hoo!!!

Yeah, this mod helped my car out alot. My friends have all said that my car sounds a bit different. Hell I can finally get to 108MPH now (damn governor).

Was still a PITA to do though.

any updates on the mileage changes? Im also wondering if this throws off CEL due to increased air flow?

I've had it done for a few months now and I've had NO CEL's. Mileage wise, I can't tell you because I done this the same time I installed my GMPP SRI.

i finished it, and although i don't have a dyno sheet to prove it, u can feel the difference. Mostly in throttle response but i have noticed a slight increase in millage also. I mean the air box can get air much more efficiently now, how could that rob power? think about it.

If it does anything it's minimal. However, it did change the sound noticeably.

just finished mine, i am not sure if i have noticed anything really, i have a cat back exhaust with the resonater on my exhaust off too. so my car is kinda loud already so i couldn't really hear a difference, i also have a stock intake, and throttle response we will see about in acouple of days after fooling around. took only 20 mins and worse case if i find nothing else, i need to change my air filter.
