me too. not sure if you really want to buy the 1st ( is it though? ) generation turbocharged cobalts. from want ive read so far, its going to be hard to mod anyway. also have to agree about finding aftermarket parts for it, it ll be a while before they see the light of day. personally, i prefer the supercharger 'cause everyone yells and scream turbo. i dare, like the few of you guys do, to be different.

 

Only thing I like about the TC better than the SC is the interior, rims and the suspension/brake set up.

 

what about the new "launch controll" feature....

from what my buddy james told me (he has a sliver TC sitting in his drive way right now, dont ask how he got it but he did)

the way it works is that it backs off the fuel system just enough to keep the tires from spinning but the car keeps launching forward.... sounds like all ya gotta do is tromp on it and shif it a few times and the rest is done by the computer

 

even less thinking required from the driver. Even driving and launching a manual is beginning to become stupid-proof.

 

we need pics of this car in his driveway. With outthem I don't believe it, a lack of pictures just tells us he don't have it yet

well my leadership is fuckjin gay as ****.. they put me on trash detail all week knowing i wasnt tryin to go to louisiana for that gay training mission knowing that jen is leaving next week. the other guy starts limpin around and they **** me and put me on it. and say make it work.. or there will be harsh punishments. when i have no-1 to take care of my finances or anything while im gone. so im ****** done respecting my leadership they preach family first. but this gay mission doesnt need me to function. if i start limpin around they will be like deal with it..

well steve it is the military and they do send us places... and trianing is a must. I know that it sucks that it is at an inopertune time. My command says that i might not be able to be at my own wedding if they decide to training detachments, but if it happens it happens.

i got lost as **** and ended up meeting like 3 other cobalts that were lost too. i had no signal the whole time and when i got it i called you but it just kept ringing and never went to voicemail. i have no clue. i also got ran off the road by a van. and blew a tire and fucked up my rims. i had to go to a shop and fix it. then on the way home got pulled over and almost got arrest for "street racing" which is funny because i was going under the speed limit through a ****** hurricane

yeah but if you turbo or supercharge a LT/LS your going to have to upgrade -axel/tranny/EVERYTHING. I SC my LT and blew tranny, then replaced it with one thats rated for more HP and then my axel snapped because of too much torque. countless other stuff kept breaking so i had to sell it all I think its a waist of money. you might as well get the SS/SC or SS/Turbo. not sure about the SS/NA though...

When is the next meet boys??? i got lost on the last one and i want to have on near VA beach. Anyone down????

 

actually, my l61 car was 18,000.... first modle year was overpriced but with my military discount and GM family member discount i got it down to 14,000 on the finance.... 17k is going to get me to 320whp and 800 more on the CV axels and ill be over 400whp

 

well if its close i'm always down for meeting up, but i don't think there is anything big planned for this area yet

 

A meet would be nice....it'd give me a reason to wash and wax my car.
