Nasty Mideast Storm

Pull out the steelies and get the beater ready. 6-10 inches of the white death and lots of frozen water heading this way come Wednesday. Looks like no matter the path this storm takes, Michigan, Ohio, Indiana, and Pennsylvania will be getting the full brunt of it. The question is not if we get snow, but how much will be snow and how much will be ice.

I should have been a meteorologist/forecaster. Amateur storm chasing is not exciting enough, although outrunning tornadoes in the plains is challenging Haha.

Hmm, do you have any cheezy ties? This is one of the things that you need if you are going to be a weather man. And some funky hats!!!!!!

But it must be nice to get things wrong and not get in any trouble for it. They can change peoples day to day schedule, and nothing happens to them. If I would make the mistakes that I have seen some make, I would be looking for a new job.

LMAO. Plenty of cheezy ties, but no hats.

50% of the time, it works every time. To a weatherman, those are words to live by.

I wanted to be a weatherman when I was little. Tornadoes and Hurricanes fascinate me. +1 on the lack of excitement with storm chasing. Lots of waiting and driving, and nothing. I live in MI, so tornadoes are rare. I live in southeast MI, most of the tornadoes that do hit MI are in the western half of the state. The winter storm wasn't too bad. I still managed to cruise at 60mph on stock tires. In fact, it got warmer because of the clouds. The snow started melting for a bit, so I washed my car before parking her in the garage and called it a day.

Hahaha.

So how is the weather where you all are? My buddy is trapped in Indianapolis en route to Ohio from St. Paul. We have a 1/4" of ice here, though the rain is making it a little better...for now.

Not much going on here. Still no snow yet. Just about an inch of sleet.

We ended up with some freezing rain, but the temps have lifted, so its going to melt until the system passes. Roads were fine in town, but out of town, I hit some slick spots.

All I ended up with is less than an inch of sleet and none of the snow they predicted.

It was windy like a ************ outside. So much that my dirty car came out clean when I got home. I **** you not. The wind blew the snow all over my **** and it somehow got clean.

We have no wind, no rain, no ice, nothing anymore. Roads were wet when I last went out on a beer run (day off tomorrow), but not even slightly slick. Poor Chicago got destroyed.
