so I just bought a offbrand no name cold air intake off protuninglab.com and it isn't on yet, however I am wondering if you guys and girls think it will turn on my check engine light and make it run lean and like **** and if that is the case what can I do to fix it. all help will help me thanks so much

 

your gonna have to put it on and find out. if your not comfortable with it get a tune with it or put the old one back on.

 

Well im sure its going to screw up you AFR so yeah a tune would be recommended

 

Off brand intakes are never a good choice for these cars....

If you're on the stock tune, you will more than likely set a lean code due to MAF parameter skewing.

The factory intake outflows almost all of the shiney metal pipes for the SS/SC fyi.
