New to the Cobalt family

Hey everyone!
My names Spencer and i just got my first cobalt a little over a month ago, and i love it the second i laid eyes on it! The only bad thing is only 2 days after buying it i blew the side of piston 4 out.. it had me pretty angry since i bought this car to replace my 03 tiburon gt. The good thing about that is that it means i just have a reason to build it up right now
So right now its a 06 Cobalt ss/sc, everything on the exterior is stock as of right now, but wont be for too long i hope
As of right now the block is at a machine shop here in AZ, its getting bored 20 or 30 over (depending on the size pistons i can get) i already have brand new set some forged Diamond pistons but they wont be able to be used since its getting a bore now.

Now on the some the the parts
  • AIS Alcohol injection (Removing and going to run E85 instead)
  • 60lbs injectors
  • 2.7in ZZP pulley
  • 3in Fujita intake
  • ZZP Header and Downpipe
  • Cobra heat exchanger
  • ZZP solid motor mounts
  • Revolution exhaust
  • Ported Supercharger

Thats all i can think of as of right now
Ill post pictures soon!

Welcome to the forums! I would be pissed if I bought a car and two days later the engine self-destructed, did it come from a dealer? Within 3 days any major flaws not described or mentioned are covered by lemon law, correct?

Haha well i wasnt really thinking when i filled it up and put 87 in it.. then i drove about 250 miles.. when i got home i boosted up to like 18-19lbs and then my car started to run bad and since i had no 4th cylinder anymore haha
It blew right above the 1st compression ring, around the back and out through the bottom of the oil control ring..
