I just got a 05 cobalt ss and went to start it today and have second fourth and reverse dose not have first third and fifth gear what could this be all stock please help I have clutch just missing them three gears

 

Is it possible that some how the shifter cables were messed with, putting those gears out of alignment?
I assume you drove it at least home from where you bought it.

 

I drove it to work have been driving it about a month and everything was fine until I left work this morning didn't even race on it when I left had the alarm set and everything so not to sure has clutch and if it didn't have clutch it would shift second fourth or reverse

 

is there any common problems or could something broke I got the inside tore apart but not to sure what I'm really looking for to see if any things broken or messed up And don't know really what I'm looking at to tell if something is wrong

 

Any ideas on this anyone

 

Shift cable broke or bent, there's 2 of them. Cold weather wreaks havoc on them.

Where in upstate are you?

probably the cable directly under the shifter.

 

Any one know where I could find a set gonna change them to start looked on eBay can't seem to find any and also tried are local parts store nothing only place that has it is Chevy
