This used to be caused by a faulty intake manifold gasket.

How many miles are on the car, and what year is it? High crank case pressure will cause this as well.

The car is a 2006 model with 75,000 miles.

Any other mods other than S2?

I'm willing to bet a faulty intake manifold gasket.

This was common on 05-06 SS/SC's. They revised it for 07'.

Thank you Staged07SS. No other mods were done. Is this a costly repair?

You can get one for $15 plus shipping from zzp and do the work yourself. Its simple but time consuming.
