Thanks man, you really seem to know your ****..

Mind if i ask how you get your info?

Now that i know the right block to use i can get together the costs and try to find a really good trustable shop to build it. So i can figure out the total cost.

One more important thing is the f23. Im sure you have seen other go through rebuilding them. How expensive can that get?

Cheers

Nobody rebuilds them ive been researching it lately and the costs are outrageous and parts are hard to find. Youre better off buying a brand new one at 1500 a pop. The rebuild kit alone is $780 with blocker rings takes it to $1300... Frickin stupid

Where i get my info? Well ive had this car since i was 16 and im now 20. Ive been reading on this forum since day one and have taken my car from a base 07 to everything being either totally custom or swapped from an ss. I have a 2.4 swap, all lsj suspension/brakes, turbo kit, yada yada. I know my way around a cobalt thats for sure haha.

Nice man, i had a ls auto. I took the easy route lol. Just bought the next one up. Yeah i know i should have just got the 08+ ss. Buts its all good. I thought about doing swaps and **** but i didnt want to mess with a perfectly good car. So i sold it and moved on. I also didnt have the means to tear apart a car anyway. Props on the way you did your car for sure.

Your car is real low though man. I heard something about when you go too low on the f23 trans the axle seals go real easy because they were never intended for stress at that angle??? Also do you get axle lock or whatever from your axles being straight? Next thing im doing is k sport coil-overs so am a little worried about this. I know it wont be as low as yours but still worried.

Ah you shouldnt worry. I changed my axle seals when i put the trans in, i guess it does leak a little bit but i also have a shitty junkyard trans. I dont think youll have a problem. My goal is to be on the ground.

Damn near on the ground already shouldnt be too hard lol. I have not seen those wheels before. Which is weird because there arnt many choices. When you lower the car by the way, dont you need to do those little shocks on the beam in the back also? Other wise they will be over streased and blow up right?

I have full bc racing coil overs. Comes with shocks, struts, and 4 springs. I also have a hub swap to 5x114.3 so i can fit aftermarket wheels. My car was originally 4x100. And its not that low yet.
