New Owner of 06 SS/SC with Botched Engine Swap

Hey everyone. I just bought a 06 SS/SC from some idiot kid that tried to swap in a 07 2.2 Ecotec into it and couldn't get it running. No kidding. Anyways, off to the classifieds and engine tech forums!

Post pictures of the car. An LSJ swap can be bought for a reasonable price. I'd start with that.

Thats not bad. Go buy the correct motor for it for about a grand, buy a tranny for 500-600 bucks, and you got a 06 SS lsj for cheap!

If he did, thats a steal. You can get a motor and tranny for like i said 1,500-2000, slap it in, and you got a cheap supercharged cobalt lol

Thanks guys. Ya, I bought that car. Whoever worked on it was a complete idiot. When I separated the trans, I saw the kid only had two flywheel bolts in! Lol. He tried using the LSJ flywheel on the L61 and could only get two of them to line up. Clutch disc was soaked in brake fluid (?). Ic pump was hanging. Oil cooler wouldn't bolt up to the 2.2 block so they used some 3/4 inch pipe fittings from hardware store to loop it off the t-stat housing. Good stuff! I already bought a low mileage LK9 that I'm gonna swap in. Just need some odds and ends for it. -Thanks, Jason

Correct me if I'm wrong. Is that LK9 the B20NR? There is a person on this forum that is already done that swap and could possibly help you out with what you need to know, if you need help.
