Hey guys, been reading a bunch of useful stuff on here and I decided to say hello.

As my first hello, I actually have a question I wanted to ask:

1. My clutch is worn and I'm looking for a replacement. What's a good price for the clutch itself? And who's good and cheap to install in the Toronto area?

2. Recently I'm hearing a ticking sound when I drive almost immediately in first and then a little bit in second. Sounds more like crunching actually. Related to clutch maybe?
Thanks in advance for any advice.

From a Canadian to Canadian you have 2 options for a clutch provided you don't plan to make stupid amounts of power

1) John Powell
2) CrateEngineDepot.com --> Ecotec LSJ Clutch Upgrade Kit 19212712

Never canadian tire! I do most of the work on my car myself, with a neighbourhood mechanic to help here and there. I've gotten advice about John Powell, however I'm unfamiliar with where this is? Google isn't giving me much.

First, welcome; it's a pretty badass place around here, lots of info. Second, I'll say something useful rather than tell you to search. GMPP clutch is what i've heard time after time for the replacement. Good luck.

John is located in Port Perry Ontario which is north east of Toronto. Send him a PM or email glorria@powellraceparts.com / john@powellraceparts.com for details.
