ready to haver a car-b-que!!!
ok so i thought i was doing something nice for my lady , wen she got the 07 cobalt it had factory radio and only one speaker worked . it doesnt have premium sound system likke i had in my malibu ltz so i figured id surprize her and i bought a double din pioneer head unit two 6.5 " coaxials pioneer for the front doors two pioneer 6x9' for the rear package tray a 1000 watt pioneer 4 channel amp and a 12" sub along with a 1000 wt amp for it .now im 50 uyrs old and have vhad my fair share of car audio systems and installed them myself wioth no problems atall but thisa car has threw me for aloop and honestly im lost and not too proud to admit it.so she doesnt have steering wheel controls for the factory radio and the turn signals have never madw a sound lol so im like yeah definitly not vspending $100 on a harness adapter interface thingamajig , alll i need is constant 12 v ,switch 12 v ground, n hook up the back up camera .im runnin new speaker wire so besides that easy peezy right???? hell to the naw !!!! had the radio and back up camera working fine thi
en couple days later i hooked the remote wire from new head unit to the amp and she called me on her way back from lunch and said the whole dang instrument cluster ent out ,fuel gauge tach speedometer u know all the good stuff so i said just unkook the little blue wire ok,n after work she got home and i told her id look at it the following day well drove it to store and back then took radio out and the damn theft light came on and i cant get the car to crank everything elsw was workin well now i hook my scanner up and cant commmunicate withebcm,ipc,rcdlr,tdm or the air bagmodule .the car has the CAN-BUS and im getting 60 ohm wen checkin pin 4 n 16 at the dlc checked my 5 volts refference but had pulled a c0845 code....device ign 1 circuit .well now that i wrote a short novel lol does anyone out here haveany helpful advice before i have a CAR B QUE PLEASE N THANK U
