2.6 and Nitrous??

Alright.. I am curious to see what the smallest pulley guys are running along with a 50 shot of Nitrous..

Is anyone running a 2.6" pulley with a 50 shot?

The reason I am asking is, I have a 2.6 setup at the moment and I am currently looking for a Nitrous Kit and I am wondering if I should go ahead and go with a bigger pulley like a 2.9 with the nitrous? Any ideas..

If I use the 2.6.. WILL SHE BLOW? !? :P

Any help would be great,

Thanks.

Matt.

what cooling mods do you have? if you say none, than the 2.6 isn't safe WITHOUT the nitrous.

I have Methanol for Cooling. My IATs at WOT stay around 150 with only a 3gph nozzle.. Bigger is on the way..

Well.. If I did it.. I get it all on, Window Switch, Bottle Heater and Kit.. I would be getting it tuned right after.. I would love to keep my engine all in one piece for the time being :P

No beating the **** out of her, The nitrous would only be used once in a while... I think.

I hope no BOOM.. Yea.. The meth is working just fine.. I do only have a 3GPH nozzle on it right now as when they sent it out, it came with no nozzle, Luckily a friend had a tiny one for me until I can put the 6 gph on it the IAT's should go down.. 150 with a 2 hour drive time, and that was what they were while tuning.

shes tuned with hp tuners i watch and review my aeroforce gauge she will get hotter than that if i do back to back wot pulls but if i just do a quick WOT pull, she MITE hit 140 and once im out of it she drops quick as hell

then again i ran a 2.7 with no cooling mods for 8 months and never ran that hot of temps, the only reason i did the cobra was because its summer now and wanted to cool her down a bit. thought about doing the dual pass but i dont think the gains are worth the money or time to put it on ive heard more people get better results with a front mount and ican attest to that i am very pleased best mod for the money IMO

I would say go with a 2.8 and run the 50 shot.

can we see pics of your setup man? and how does she run? im curious....

im also going to be running nitrous within the next month or so, im slowly peicing together everything. in fact i have made a thread similiar to this. but honestly, i just installed my cx racing heat exchanger and man did it make the difference. WITHOUT meth, my cruising IAT2s are at 115-122...at WOT they never go higher then 136..and thats in TEXAS in 97 degree weather, again, WITHOUT METH. so if your IAT2s are around 150 with meth, somethings wrong bro!

this is all i have to offer in terms of my set-up right now...its more of a showing of my car(s)...but the bottle is in it, as well as my switches

maybe when i get time, ill do a more in-depth showing of my nitrous set-up (tank, heater, gauge, switches, opener, purge location, etc....)
