can nitrous go bad?

kinda stupid question but the heading says it all can nitrous go bad kinda like if gas sits in your car for a long time without it moving? i just bought a nitrous kit used from a guy and it has probably half a bottle of nitrous that hasnt been used so im wondering if i need to bleed the bottle till its empty or if it will stay good.

That's a really good question that I'm not 100% sure on. But chemistry class tells me it shouldn't go bad.

hmmm well if it doesnt go bad can it go stale lol like it wont give you as good of a punch... i dont think it would ruin the inside of the bottle... would it lol a lot of stupid thoughts going through my head i havent gotten to bed yet

I think you should be fine, I don't think the molecules would change themselves. Only way it could be bad is if the pressure is low. I mean bottle pressure.

I think if you were to just take a bottle that has been sitting for months and spray that it would hit pretty weak because the nitrous in the bottle would be in a more gaseous state.

I recently opened up a bottle with nitrous that had been sitting for months (didn't know anything was in there still) and it still looked the same so I would assume that if you heat it up it wouldn't be any different than a new refill.

I'm no chemist though so...

Nitrous isnt stored in the bottle as gas, it is in liquid form. No it wont go bad, and you should just take that bottle and have it filled the rest of the way.
