Does this sound right...
well rule of thumb is don't spray below 3000 because there isn't enough vaccuum to draw in the mixture
I'm sorry but you are still wrong, or rather whoever did the install is. on a bottle is a pressure relief disc that will crack open to vent out nitrous when the pressure gets over I want to say 3000psi (possibly less). it does this so that the bottle does not explode and cause damage like you are describing. if your brother's still blew open then someone either welded that disc shut or put a plug in it's place, which is very bad form. the bottle in my car has been in for spans of 2 weeks during summer heat with no problems, and I live in a very hot state during that season. if you're telling the truth, then there were other factors there, meaning it was an unsafe/improper install.
I wouldn't worry about throttle input as much as staged revs and clutchwork, then start working on being smooth with the throttle.

Venom is an alright company and extremely expensive, I'd go with TNT before them for many reasons. If it was a defective part they should have taken responsibility and I'm assuming they didn't correct? Thats a safetly precation that isn't designed to have any failure rate for it. Point being, bottles do not just ******* blow open because it's hot out, they are built with safetly provisions that are supposed to be tested before being packaged and shipped out for this very reason.
Pressure discs definitely go higher than 1600psi, I'd say at LEAST 2000psi. I've overheated mine once and had it bury the pressure gauge and it didn't pop, but I know it wasn't past 1800psi. Most are in the 3000psi area (and it's not like most solenoids would open under that much pressure anyway).
Hey what do I know though right? lol
