Question Nitrous????

ok, i know you will prob think im new to cars but i have been modding for a few years. but i have never really looked into nitrous. i had a few questions.

- Can i run nitrous on my stock Cobalt SS/SC without hurting anything?
- How much can i run and wet/dry?
- How much hp gains can i expect to see?
- What is the best brand to buy.

Simple questions. i know i sound stupid but i wanna get the idea of it. Thanks for any replys!

You don't sound stupid, you just sound like you're trying to get information and educate yourself. Nothing wrong with that.
Personally, I hate NOS. I've seen and fought car fires involving NOS, not fun. My personal opinion is there is much more you can spend your money on, that is safer to run, and still gives you serious hp gains. But that's just my .02. Good luck in your quest for speed. :

-i wouldnt run more than a 55 shot. i run a 75 shot but i like to live life on the edge

-only run a wet kit on a SS/SC we have a returnless fuelsystem so we cant even run a dry kit

-on a 55 shot youll probably see 3-35 whp gain, although some manufacturers rate thier systems at the wheels.

-im a big NOS brand fan, but ive heard good things about NX and ZEX

I went to the local shop whewre they usually have muscle and they told me that on a s

I went to the local shop here in town and they told that you can run stock with dry nos up to 100 shot but just to run safer I would recommend a 50-60 shot, and I specially recommend nos but it would up 2 you men and good luck with that men!

Here's a question

Lets say i adjust the settings to 30 hp off a nitrous bottle.

Would i beable to go for a BIGGER BOTTLE thats 2x the size of the 50 shot bottles and still config the settings to stray 30 hp?

and the reason for that is to reduce refilling the bottle.

bottle size doesn't mean anything...that just means you have more nitrous to use before you need to refill. You can get 5, 10, and 15lbs bottles and run a 35 shot in any bottle. the jets in the nozzle are what determine the size of the shot you are running.

i have a 20lb bottle (we call it the scuba tank) but in a SS/SC, it is almost imposible to run a dry kit, the shop you talked to must suck something fierce.
