if you have an open bottle it is in NY
it depends on the state
but just hide it somewhere, build a cover for it, id be really surprised if you pulled over for it

aside from the above advice which seems more concerned with how to not get caught with it (and the odds are pretty good you will not unless you purge by a cop), it is illegal everywhere in the US of A. You can use it at the track (off-road use), but if it is hooked up before you get there, you are breaking the law.

I guess the safest thing to do is leave it unhooked until you head to the track but don't forget to purge every time to get air out of the lines before hooking it up or you could make a hell of a mess out of your engine .

Yeah last I knew you purged your lines to clear out any debris that may be in there. One little tiny ass microscopic fragment in there and your nozzle is clogged, no good. Especially if youre running a wet system. All that extra fuel with no nitrous to match it. Ewww That and you want pure nitrous being used, no vapor. From ZEX's site....
By purging your nitrous system just before a race you clear the lines of vapor and ensure that pure liquid nitrous is delivered as soon as the kit activates.
