Tuning for nitrous?

Do you need any tuning for a 50 shot of nitrous? Is there any harm with a 50 shot of nitrous? I don't want to blow my motor or be too hard on it. I'm getting a 2.9 pully on a stage 2 since I heard the 2.85 was a little to lean for a stage 2. And the stock stage 2 was is really rich so I picked something in the middle. Any help with these questions would help... thanks

BOOM!!!!!!

That's what can happen.

You need to pull timing about a degree for a 50 shot of nitrous and you need to make sure the engine is getting ample fuel. You are pushing it by not tuning.

actually u could advance timing if u run higher octane because the nitrous is allowing more air in the chamber but just running it on 91 is a no no and advancing timing

get the stage 3 pcm if your going to run nitrous, it has the algorithm built in for nitrous controll. failing that, run a wet kit.

If you run a wet kit you don't need tuning. I wouldn't run a dry kit unless you are running a stage 3 pcm and use it to control the nos.

Wow, no you don't. It will run just fine.

Run a .034 nitrous jet and a .018 fuel jet. If you are running a staged tune and 42lb/hr injectors you will be fine.

Most people that actually have experience in tuning for nitrous on an LSJ will tell you a stock or staged tune will run just fine with little to no knock up to a .044 nitrous jet.
