so... filled up the h/e system..... "click, click click clickclicklclick...."

my lower endplate hose wasn't tight enough. got everything good, started her up. jumped right to 2k rpms and stayed there for the whole 1.5 secs i had the car on. i didn't hear anything noticeable to indicate a seal leak. so i think i'm good.


i should have a working car by this evening

dumb question...

so i have come to find out that i have a leaky h/e. very small... looks to be coming from where the fins attach to the end. i'm sure bars leak (or a similar product) will plug it up, but will it affect other parts of the system? i'm guessing the ic pump should be fine since when this is used in a radiator, the water pump is usually ok, but what about the cores in the intake mani

Where can I get some? Do most of the liquor stores have it now? Last week or two weeks ago it wasn't easy to find.

 

I would not use that **** on a SC cooling dude. that crap will get all in your sc, he, tubes...yuck. get a new H/e.

most have it now, I even can get it in duluth.


BTW you end link breakers. WTF are you guys smoking? maybe the lsj is different, but my end links have a nut right in front of the rubber part so I can hold that and take off the nut.... o.0

Thanks, I'll have to stop after work tonight and pick some up...I'll check the liquor store by work and the one by my house....hopefully one will have it.

As for the end links...I wasn't aware of the nut that is back there...besides that, when I did do mine the first time (Sportlines) I didn't pay attention to it or forgot...with the Pedders I found out after messing with it...For some reason I couldn't find my needle nose vice-grips so I had to use regular vice-grips and in the end I tore my rubber...I need new end links anyway (need to pick up the end links and LSJ/LNF front sway)...I think that's my only "weak link" now.

 

That was a hell of an afternoon. A new belt would help wonders im guessing. Sorry it took so long. Damn battery.
