even if that car came out....who makes race parts?
I should gut my ss out...
oh man this dude is insane in his little formula 3000 car at a hill climb. I thought one of those wheels would catch a wall a few times.

That co makes race parts, Powell said he'll be making parts and there's already has a decent amount of aftermarket parts out.
...most cars that just come out don't have race parts lined up.
...most cars that just come out don't have race parts lined up.
Cars have race parts before production usually. Look at the sc/ss and cruze, its just we cant afford to buy them nor do we hear about them. "race" parts usually are expensive and made just for the race team. The tech either trickles down, or someone like powell actually is in the car's community and decides to make them. So ya we could have a race spec cruze already, but I dont think anyone on here can afford a 200k car.
Those Cup Cruze cars come ready to go for 19k euros.
SS didn't have race parts for a while. Powell was doing stuff nobody knew about. The Cruze has parts since the cars been out for a while in other countries.
1.4 isn't the engine you'll see on a SS cruze....it'll be a LNF with exhaust exit from the front and a crap turbo...maybe E85 ready. So less power than current LNF but still a decent amount of power and decent fuel range. Also heard the Cruze is said to be 130% stiffer than Cobalt.
Another car to keep an eye on is the Aveo RS...and most other small cars coming out in the next 24 months. They have less power than were use too but also weigh alot less. In the end power to weight will probly balance right out
At first I was sad to see the end of the Cobalt but I think I'm over it now. It'll be nice to see some fresh meat!

SS had race parts if someone wanted, crawford would sell stuff, powell would. But no one knew or wanted to pay the crazy high prices. Dude anyone could of had a TA ss/sc made, but it cost well over 100k to make.
1.4l is whats in that cruze cup. There is no 100% evidence of a cruze ss. And a detuned lnf with a **** turbo is the ldk and idk why the **** they would run that, even Bill said it sucks.
Aveo RS/ss is more likely. Even though it weights less i bet it still at 2500lbs and with only 150-200hp it wont move like our current cars man.
I've talked to miata spec owners, and they usually upgrade because, yes the car can handle anything great, its got zero power and people get sick of that. Great for short or autox, but on a real road course those straights will be a long drive. I'm not knocking anything, just pointing out things. I'd love to have a aveo or fiesta 1.4 turbo, be a bomb ass autox'er and dd'er. But it couldnt replace my SS or a real fast car. Oh or the abrath 500 fiat.
Say it in the first 25sec of the first video...Complete racing car for under 18K euro's!!!

#4 (me) is creepin on his ass!!! .....this corner is crazy. We'd try to go flat out but the car was start to drift out to much leading into a quick hard left after this hard right. It was a fast S !

I'm sure an SS Cruze will be out within 2 years of the launch of the Cruze here...I mean look at 2005 when the G6 came out...my wife bought one...they had 2 models, base V6 and GT...same engine, different wheels, chrome exhaust tip, stiffer suspension, that's about it...then a year or two later, they had the GTP which started with the 3.9, then moved to the 3.6 later...much better all around...
She had the base V6 G6 and now she's in an Aura XR with the 3.6 and 18's and all the options...fast car for something that heavy, auto, and 252hp FWD. Sure not a SS/TC, but still fun...mid 14's factory with no aftermarket

Its $50 for 5 - 10 min runs! ...not bad IMO

18k euro is just under 24k US $...sound about right to me for a base Cruze with race parts added.
It not like the added CF or anything....just Light weight wider wheels, race tires, track suspenion, brake cooling, race seat, cage, rear wing, gutted interior, race steering wheel, exhaust, strut tower bar, some have a cool front lip kit, tow straps, hood latches, trunk latches, not much else.
So say a base Cruze + 10k in mods = 24k

If they had went all out with CF I'd cost way more.

notice the ones they have....no options, cheap steel wheels, etc....Im willing to bet its 18K total. If you could buy a Cruze here without all the BS it cost alot less than 15K.
