Minnesota chat 2010 ( . )( . )
I hate my ******* lug nuts/studs...I just broke one of on each of the rear assemblies. I'm just going to drive over to a shop and have them replace all 16 of the ******* and be done with that.
I'm never going to get these springs and struts/shocks installed...I should just sell it all.

Yeah, but I didn't pull it out...I don't know why, but I like busting them loose by hand. I know better, but I do it anyway...it would also help if when I put the lug nuts back on I didn't apply about 200 ft-lbs of torque...lol. I'm too strong for my own good. I need to start using my torque wrench when I put them on. I'm just so used to my old Saturns that would never break studs no matter what...GM quality in the metals used just when so far down hill. I swear when I was trying to break them loose I was thinking someone must have put locktite or something on them....oh well.
I think I will do that...pull the compressor out and try to get the other 3 off each wheel...if I do, maybe I can replace the studs myself...what's involved in replacing the rear ones with drum brakes? I've never done the back, just the front.

Yeah, yeah, I know.
Another problem (which maybe wouldn't be a problem if I torqued them correctly in the first place) is that my compressor is a little 12gal. with 100psi max which really doesn't seem to be enough to break the nuts loose...again, maybe if they were torqued at 100 to begin with, then the compressor/air tools would work.

Rear drums are cake just take off the outter hub plate with a screwdriver/hammer and you can pop the new ones in, its very simple. Unless the hub is stuck/rusted on there really well.
Well I took it to a shop to make sure no more snapped...I paid a little for it, but that's OK, I just need to learn to either cover the open ended lug nuts or replace them with closed ended nuts.
I have a tendency to WAY over torque things so I will make sure I use the torque wrench along with keeping the nuts covered from now on...winter is a bitch because my aftermarket steelies don't work with my hub caps...I can pull the lug nut covers off the hub caps but that looks dumb (however form over function in that case).
I've only snapped 3 to date now, but I have cross-threaded a couple as well...so I believe 5 have now been replaced. I just can't get it done as quick as a shop can even though they basically charge me an hour's labor and I bring the parts. In this instance though, I'd rather pay the extra money and have them make sure they will come off so I don't replace more. I had them pull the front nuts off as well to make sure I wouldn't have any trouble when I got home..that's all I would need to get home, finish the back, start on the front and OH ****, not again.
I'm going to go replace my rear suspension right now and if I have time I'll work on the front. I have to do some housework today and tomorrow because we're having my wife's nieces over to watch our son tomorrow night. I'm working and she's going to the casino to have some fun for once. She always lets me go out with friends when I want, but she doesn't take time for herself...this is her time.

Will do...I will grab it out of the garage before I start working on the car.
BTW, how do I use it? LOL, seriously, I've owned it for quite a while and I don't think I've ever used this style. I've used my dad's (which is mine now) beam style and I get that...I have a click type...do I just dial in the torque desired and wrench away and it will "slip" or whatever when I reach the torque dialed in?
