Nope. Right now GM is only sending us what we order for each appointment. I don't know if it's just us, or all dealerships. But, it only takes a day or 2 to get the motor in. We are usually booked for a few days so there'll be no problem. Just let them know you only want me to work on it.

yeah my dealer had to order the part for my recall they said they dont know when it will be in by. but my cars there till it comes in. im going back to enterprise and getting a difforent rental car i cant drive this thing another day.

well they are doing the recalls in waves. i'm not too sure of the order they are using. but new/used vehicles that are sold get the new motor regardless if the recall has reached that car yet. i looked up my car by VIN and the recall wasn't even listed yet. I got the first letter but not the actual recall letter.
if the dealerships were to stock the motors we'd be out of stock all the time. there was a recall for 3.8L engines that we stocked the parts for, but always ran out and eventually they became back ordered. And then were shipped from canada.

Hey is this the dude that drove in the car with me for that race with the black sti? If so, what's up man?
I didn't run against a blue wingless sti though. What was the outcome with that race and was the sti hooked up?
The dude driving that silver soobi you're talking about, is he russian by any chance? If so then I've seen at the pike a bunch of times (would never think of racing him though.. lol), and I actually ran into him one time while I was up at Turbokits.com in Windsor Locks and chatted with him for a while but I never actually saw him run anybody though. Sick car though. How did he do against the evo and civic?

I'm liking it a lot. I like that way it puts me back in my seat when I punch the gas. Now I'm thinking of what I want to do next. Thinking either intake and/or exhaust. But I don't want a loud ass exhaust. I know that Borla makes a 3" system for STI's called the Borla Hush. I'm going to look into seeing if i can get one made for my car, or just buy the muffler and put it on a 3" system.
There was a customer on the sales floor asking about Cobalts, saying that he really hasn't seen them before. So i offered to take him for a ride. Told him that all I have is the Stage 1 offered by GM and no other mods. When i hit the road i said "This is what you get with a car that is still fully under warranty." Then goosed it. 2nd, 3rd. snapped his head back. oops
after i brought him back to the dealership he said "All i have to say is wow!" Sales person said that he started looking at the sticker price and calling people. I may have just sold a 2010 Cobalt SS.
