well well well, who wouldn't have guessed. They are now calling for rain on the 21st.

Let's hope that changes in the next week. I HATE weathermen.

yeah i know, that's why i'm not bent out of shape yet. They switch predictions every hour -- they suck at their jobs.

What does she look like? If you really want a day off from her give me a call. Just don't be upset if she doesn't come back.

You know I'm just messing with you. Yes, I have had the same beautiful woman for nearly 5 years now. Been married for 3 this July. Have two beautiful daughters. Sometimes I just like messing around and just acting like I'm single. I mean, like on the forum and just messing with you.

Come over here and uninstall it for me. I'm sick of working on cars Uninstall the B&M, reinstall my stock one and pay me 75 bucks

No honestly though, I have my hands full with my Syclone. I just took of the TE45A turbo and I'm selling it. Putting a dual ball bearing 74GTQ turbo on it when I get the money for it. The Cobalt is getting picked up tomorrow. Someone from this site most likely will be driving home my SS/SC as the new owner. congrats to them. So I'll keep that B&M on the car for the new owner.

yea...

Lets get this thread back on topic! We need to recruit as many for the Cecil Drag Meet! To bad lately this site is for girl friend threads and other BS. I doubt we get a good turn out because all of the **** talkers who act like they have fast cars never run them at the track. Its no wounder Cobalts have bad names with some of the clowns on this site.

I see your sig and mod list. Question for you, are you keeping the 42 lbs injectors and going with a 2.8? Or are you getting 60s?

yes, that is the plan, at the moment. I've talked to the right people and this is very possible and i'll be fine. but depending on the type of deal i can get, i might be picking up some 60s also. on a sidenote, i dont know why everyone freaks out when you say your going with a 2.8 & 42s, there are tons of guys on this forum that have that set up and as long as you have a tuner that knows what he is doing, then you shouldn't have any problems.

2.8 on 42s could work if you had a water meth system the way mine is, I can run a half point richer with it on. That frees up alot of duty cycle.

You can if you spray a 3-5gph and strong mix to help the IDC. 60s are not that bad once you get them tuned good. I lost a little MPG, but that was with old 60s fueling tables. I think now, getting gas today actually, they are pretty good. Car says 38 mpg, but its wayyy high on 60s. Should be 30-32 by hand. I can live with that. My 42s tune got me 36 mpg highway and the computer said like 40.

Dont run the car to 7k on the 2.8 if you don't spray the methanol.

well i dont have meth, yet. that's coming later. Matt, my tuner at TTP says he can do it and that he's done it to alot of cars. i've talked to Area47 about it and he says that Matt knows what he is doing and it should be fine. if i have the money, i might just have TTP install a meth kit while i'm up there for a retune.

As for a meth kit, if you dont have one, go the cheap route.. non-progressive, 3 or 5 gph jet, spraying full bore at 5 psi. Tap the washer fluid tank. 200 bucks shipped from coolingmist.

when i had my old set up, 2.6 & 60s i seriously got like 34mpg on a trip to NJ, i was impressed. whats funny is that even though i have a redline of 7k... i've only taking it up that high once or twice. now that i have this cx racing h/e installed.... the more cooling... i'd have no problem going up that high. but like i said, i might try to get 60s or meth before i go 2.8

i've thought about that, but i dont want to use my washer fluid tank... i actually use it plus my trunk is "setup" for a trunk mount kit

About your MPGs.. was that by hand or on the computer.. Lot of people like to believe the computer.. computer = fail

I want to know what you get with the ole miles/gal way.

I use my windshield washer tank too. I spray the mix on the windshield.

Its just strong windshield washer fluid, takes the bugs right off, but eats your wiper blades.

if by hand you mean, take the miles per tank and divide that with the gallons you put in.... then yes

I don't care who tunes what car, I don't car who says its safe. Of course when they are getting paid its safe. IDC on logs does not lie. IDCs in the safe area should be near 80% at full boost, full pedal to the metal, and max rpm. 42s will not be in the 80% range with a 2.8....hell some cobalts with stage II are in the 90s on a stage II pulley. Yea, I know its in the tune, and that can help. I mean, maybe when your dealing with under 300 whp that rule changes I don't know.

Thats on the GM tune homeboy and no methanol. Leaning on the car especiallly with methanol does wonders for IDC.
