So I test drove a new STI today just for fun and I really liked it. I don't think it's worth $40k (lol) but it's definitely very nice and the awd is such win. I'm not too crazy about the interior. It's way nicer than the SS (obviously) but I like the Evo's better. Now I just gotta drive a Evo X and IX...

I'm heavily considering going for 300whp with the M62.
Especially since I can't decide what I want to do in terms of a tvs or twincharge. I know twincharging it will get stupid amounts of power but the reliability concerns me, especially with the tuning (this is my dd after all). And I'd love to try with the TVS (again, kinda) but so many guys are having problems getting over 300whp with it that I figure I might as well see what I can do with the M62. I know that I definitely want to stay supercharged though, twincharged at most. I know you can get more power from a turbo setup, but I just can't stop loving the whine. And I like to be different (even if I am jealous of the LNF's haha).

I'm really trying to accomplish the same thing as far as getting 300 ponies out of the m62. I think it is easily doable you just have to go about it the right way. I really do believe that with a single pass manifold, 2.6 pulley, full exhaust and meth injection 300 whp can be achieved. I've been in the talks with zzp and I should have the single pass manifold on the car in about 2 weeks. Then all I need is the meth and header/dp combo and to the dyno I go.
Oh yeah and Ross if you go with the twincharge setup that would be absolutely amazing and why not get an electronic boost controller if your worried about the reliability. You could run like 12 psi just when working and what not and then when you want to beat on it and what not turn it up to 20 no big deal.

i have a new idea on launching my car, 2200 rpm. drop the hammer go WOT lmao. i was driving my friend chris home going over the walt witman and under the overpasses i was at a red light and i was like i want to leave my marks under this bridge. so i proceeded to light them up when the light hit green. and damn i took off like a bat out of hell. the boost reduction kept me from hitting redline while in WOT more so i spun them and took off hard but sped up quick.

I'm really interested on seeing what that 2.3 stroker is going to be capable of. I have high hopes for it. I wonder how good that and a TVS would match up. Hmmm..... haha
well that depends, the test car had a 2.6 on it andit made about 365whp on a m62 ....so i havent seen any tvs pass tha mark yet....but u were talkin about all he supporting mods for the twincharge set...think about thekit itself is like 3 grand or pushin 4 grand, now what else would u need besides a clutch and an exhaust if u dont already have one thas 3 inches but im sure zzp would hook u up on a good price since you speendin all tha money over there already ....now i understand you rather spend that much money on a rwd v8 so u better off tradin your balt right now and stop tryin to figure out what kind of mods you wanna do to the balt
hey ish i ran robby from a 40 and 50 roll. had 1 1/2 cars on him both times. sunday he said if he comes out he will give me a dig. i think we will be even from a dig personally. s2k's can launch good. however so can i. what do you think is going to happen?
