Awwww come on.. don't be like that...

I work hard and am in my car for hours at a time. By the time I get home during the week, the last thing I want to do is drive back IN to town..

Car runs great. Have some tuning to do in the morning. It idles good but rolling to a stop it wants to stall and sometimes does. The cams aren't nearly as bad as I thought they would be as far as being lumpy, the whole exhaust note has changed tone though.

Neutral balance shafts give a little tiny bit more vibes through the floor boards but even with solid engine mounts, they are basically no different then before. Makes the car feel like it has a lightened flywheel tho. I haven't got onto it yet to see how it pulls until the valvetrain breaks in a little bit more.

I'm uploading a quick vid of the exhaust at idle.

Vid: 272 cams

Ohhh OK Matt. Glad it was a good show, but sucks only that many there. I played shows with more than that. Then again, I've played shows where there was 12 people in there.

Not the rex, but other places. When I played the Hard rock there was 500 there.

Al, greta to hear your car is running again. Look forward to seeing / hearing it.

Wooo hoo... my rear pads shipped... now my back brakes will stop better too...

WOW..... AL, very cool sound. That does change the note quite a bit. Since I'm not sure... what was done? I know new pistons and cams, but is it still supercharged? Did you twin charge it?

I've heard so many ideas, I don't know who's doing what.

Pistons, cams, valvesprings, neutral balance shafts, and nos. No turbos for us, lol. Leave that to the Dans.

BTW Al, how much did station charge for the spring install? Just trying to get an estimate on what I need.

Hahaha, yeah, great to see you guys too. Before we got there, I told Wes I'd seen your messages on AIM saying you were going to Uniontown, I said I bet she was from around there and if she was I might know her. We know each other's families, but close enough. That was a blast, we'll have to do it again sometime!

Hahahaha, not really. Not in Uniontown. Especially with my family and her family both being pretty high-profile down there, which is why I LOVE living in Pittsburgh. Back home, EVERYONE knows me, my close family, and family members I don't even know I have. Here I can usually get away with no one having a clue as to who I am, except for possibly at the auto show. Even if someone there has met me, I'm never there with family and they haven't seen me since I was a little kid so no one really recognizes me.

It's like having your local neighborhood tabloid, everyone sees you and tells everyone in your family where you're at and who you're with. Then the next day you get a recap of everywhere you went and everyone you talked to the day before. It used to drive me NUTS.

You're welcome - figured why not give everyone a head's up! Although, I'll probably be the one to forget and get nailed for another ticket.

And BTW, anyone who's ever wondered the "true" cost of a speeding ticket....now that the car's paid off and going into my name only, I'm shopping for insurance quotes. ONE ticket for 10mph over was like a $160 fine......BUT total cost is fine + $600 a year for up to 5 years. (It all depends on how the insurance company calculates risk based on tickets.)

Oh I know, but I've been taking my $70/month insurance for granted cause it was under my granfather's name since his name was first on the payments. Might see if I stay with the same agent if I can keep a low rate. Pays to shop though, I was finding a lot of places That were STARTING at $250/month. Finally found a place that's $118/month. Minus that one ticket I'd be home free.

That list is kinda funny if you ask me. The entry for Rt. 28 between Harmar and O'Hara should be extended from the Mills the whole way past the Highland Park bridge. And there should be cops lined up from door to door on both sideds of 28. That is seriuosly like the most dangerous road out of / into Pittsburgh.

And likewise with 88. Its not exactly 88, its the access road that connects at the bottom of the hill from South Hills Village. And then the road South Hills Village is on. People always fly up and down that hill in order to beat the redlight at the 4-way and there have been some bad accidents there in recent years. I never understood why there were never any cops around there except for at night.

This just in - street racing has been canceled for the remainder of spring and summer. Come again next year

Jay, they've got reallllly good food there. I go there for 50 cent wings on Monday nights.. big jumbo ones...

Good burgers, ruebens, fish sandwhiches, wings, clubs, all kinds of stuff.

TJ's is right off 70 @ the new stanton exit, in case you've never seen it. Righ across from the sunoco station.

I agree with all of that Tim. It seems to me like what Brian pointed out, some of those stretches are horrendously small. If I would have thought about it I would have asked Mike what the deal was. My guess is that in those "target zones" you will see AT LEAST one cop set up to catch speeders, but there will be others out and about in the area, probably rolling up and down the road to look for people tailgating, etc.

It looks like all the Parkways, business 22, 286 (which ironically there was a pretty bad wreck out that way this morning in Plum), 22/30, and 60 are gonna be pretty packed with cops.
