You are just mad that the Colombian dude ditched the sinking ship known as F1/(Go)Kart for something more widely watched, and more lucrative. For someone that wants his 3 hours back - sure sounds like you watched all of it. Im willing to bet no one twisted your arm..... pffft nascar basher......

I want to learn the basics better, so I am not as concerned with dialing in the car at that point.

I just get the feeling this week is going to suck....
Yeah, was looking into the tire situation for the next two years. Gotta make some decisions. I know I want to keep r-comps for dry auto-x, would like some Azenis for wet auto-x, now I'm looking ahead to OLOA '08. Was reading up on tire regs and competition tires are NOT allowed. So now I'm looking at weather or not I want to keep using r-comps for road course use or if I want to switch out to whatever brand of tire we'll end up running on One Lap. The ideal situation would be to use the Azenis, but Falken isn't a supporting manufacturer so I can't run those tires. I'm thinking of going with KDWs for OLOA but I want some road course runs in first. We'll see, who knows!!!!!!

Right now it's just looking ahead to see where I want the car to be next year. That's really what my plans are for building up the car. We were looking at the pros and cons of my car vs Melissa's car. Just seems more practical to take mine. She'll still be under warranty then so she doesn't want to jeopardize that. Only down side to taking mine is, no LSD. But oh well, plus mine's more space-friendly...we have to be able to carry 2 spare tires, all necessary tools, and enough *supplies* for two people to live on for a week.

Oh, BTW, I know Wes knows cause he was there when I was on the phone with her, but my car is going on "The Dragon" in May. Should be a lot of fun!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Redneck circle racing FTW!!!!!!!

I actually used to be a lot more into it than I am now. Two things ruined it for me: 1) going to an actual event - it's no where near the same to watch it on TV and 2) road racing - I just can't imagine NASCAR being fun from a driver's standpoint. I definitely respect em and what they go through, but it just doesn't really interest me anymore.

I actually am glad JPM jumped ship. I never liked the guy even back in his CART days. Just an arrogant crybaby.

I acutally used to be a BIG NACAR fan... back in the 70s and 80s when they actually made the teams / companies adhere to the "homologation rules". If it weren't for those rules... we'd never have saw the Monte SS, GN, Grand Prix 2+2, Lumina Z34, etc....
Yes, even at those times there were exceptions. I'm not going to argue that.. BUT, back then you didn't need labels on the front of the cars to tell what kind of car they were.

You knew by the SHAPE of the car that it was a T-bird, Monte, buick, etc... The darn dodge's don't even share a nose that looks ANYTHING like the stock charger. 2/4 brands there don't off V8's in the model they are using, the cars that have 4 doors don't look like they should.

Just as Robert Duvall said in Days of Thunder "There aint nothin stock about a stock car"

For more on this... read my blog tomorrow... I'll have a good rant about this tonight.

I guess my whole point is that while I understand that you go where the $$ and viewers are, just how relevant is stock car racing to automotive development?

There's NO technology out there being used that is trickling down into the road-going counterparts. Unlike the C6R program to the Z06, the CST-V R and the CSTv, the SolsticeGXPr and so on. While those are not "stock cars", they are "production based" versions.

Sorry... I'd say I got off topic... but there'd have to be a topic to begin with here.

And no... I was alone yesterday ( as I am most days ) and I watching under my own control. Can't say I watched every minute, but probably 60% of the race.

I was hoping to see more of Kelly Clarkson's top that she was barely wearing

I heard something about that. I guess she's gonna turn into the next Britney Spears-type classless tramp, huh?

Yeah... keep off of my Kelly! The top she was wearing was tasteful, just had no back to it

She's looking good as a brunette as well. I guess she got my letters...lol

I thought people were kidding about Brit shaving her head... found that was true.. so sad.

I'd console her, but I wouldn't want to catch anything that K-fed gave to her...

It's not the clothes that make the tramp, it's the actions/attitude that make the tramp. My friends and I wear pretty skimpy clothes to the clubs too, but I wouldn't consider any of us to be tramps. Then again I know people who walk around amply-clothed most of the time but I'd definitely say they qualify as "tramps".

BTW, how's the new job workin out for ya?

You have to understand something... I'm VERY big on class. And it is in VERY short supply in our society. Honestly, I like Kelly Clarkson... I even like a good bit of her music. But part of what has always appealed to me about her is that she's never appeared "slutty", she isn't in the news every other day for getting shitfaced, showing off her cooter in public, etc. The last couple times I've seen her in shows and such, including yesterday, she seems to be looking a little less "classy". Maybe I'm jumping the gun here, but I think she'd be much better off to keep her decent image. God knows there's enough trashy pop-tarts out there; I never saw her as one of them.

And Brian, I agree on the brunette thing. Brunettes FTW!!

Alicia- I'm still adjusting... though it's nice not getting filthy every day!

acutally... as long as they have more hair than I do... I really don't care what color it is. As long as it "fits" them. So, Britt is out again since I have more hair. I think she's bald all over now....lol

OK... updated the blog... nascar related... enjoy!

Speaking of tramps...the last time i was at Diesel there were these 2 black chicks dancing and they were wearing shoes, neon colored thongs and 2 tube tops. I didnt realize it until we heard the eye candy chicks that work there commenting on how skanky they looked. Which was kinda funny considering.....if anyone has ever been there you probably know what i mean. All black leather, low cut shirts and tight high skirts.

EDIT: did you guys see the vid of TG running the Veyron to 253mph in the lounge? super impressive.

Yeah I bought it on my way to work this morning cause I wasn't sure how "limited" the beta invitations would be. I haven't played it yet...

I figured it was kinda like buying a $60 Halo 3 beta invitation and getting Crackdown as a bonus.

I am wondering the same thing. My car should be back on the road this weekend and don't know if I should put the 18s back on while its in the air.

I think I may keep the snow/16s on for a bit longer just in case though. Just can't stand the low speed rating

Yea me and my girlfriend are on a "break" so I have this weekend off and have all the stuff sitting in my house, I also need to figure out what to use to take the stage 2 pulley off, and on top of that i might have a slight exhaust leak, but why do I care.
Ahh hell that means im gonna have to buy the 60lb injectors though, oh well.

Al has some **** that can fix exhaust leak no problem. He might also the right tool for the pulley since he did the something. I would assume they just used Torx, but I don't know.

Yeah, I think I need the snow tires to keep me safe Plus if my car is sitting at an airport for 10 days, maybe my car will look less valuable with 16's on. We'll see how the weather looks after spring break trip.
