Pittsburgh Crew < You
New owner
Hey guys! Well I finally went to the dealership with my wad of saved up cash and I bought my very own '07 Cobalt LS Coupe. I absolutely love the thing and I really want to learn all about tuning and the mods available for us. Are there any regular meets or clubs for those of us that live around Pittsburgh? Also even bigger long shot is there anyone around the area of Slippery Rock Pa ( about an hour north of Pgh)? Anyway glad to finally have my car and looking forward to hearing from some of ya in my area!

Well, there's a few of us that meet up pretty much all the time. At least weekly when the weather permits. As for BIG regional meets, that's usually weather permitting, so that'll be on hold until spring most likely. We do a lot of stuff in spring/summer...auto-x, road course, drag strip, car shows, you pretty much name it.
We only have one regular 2.2 in the group and he doesn't mod his car, so don't know how much stuff we can help with in that respect, we mostly have all 2.0s and one 2.4 that comes out regularly.

Sweet, well I don't really need specifics too much as just gener al how tos on working on cars lol. But it's awesome that you guys get together regularly if you don't mind would ya mind adding a second 2.2 that plans on adding the mods?

Striker... welcome to the most active group of peeps on this site.
There is ALOT of us, and between everyone that sees at least one or two of us at a time... we're almost always doing something, but as Alicia said, we really come into it strong once the weather gets better.
after the weather:
Wednesday nights = Test & Tune @ the drag strip ( pittsburgh Raceway park, New Alexandria )
Saturday nights = Irwin car cruise
Sundays = autocrosses all over the area basically. All depends on where and what week.
Pretty much every night, you'll find the gang out and about various places lurking for victims...lol
PLUS we usually get out and do non-car stuff... shooting range, paint ball, Go-karts, batting cages, mini golf... etc... Dave& Busters from time to time... which we're overdue for that as well.
All cobalts are welcome, and these guys have alot of general car knowledge, so we're a good group to be around.

Sheetz is always an option in the summer haha. Yea alicia I dont think the sportlines are going to be so winter friendly. I was pushing snow this winter with my stock ones, so im keeping them and swapping them out in the winter... unless my jeep plan goes through
Actually we do have one member that is from Greensburg that goes to Slippery Rock for school......He has a blue 2.2 with some work done, it also has 18's on it so it stands out from the rest. I don't know if he is a member on here though, i can't remember
Striker... PRP is NOT up by you @ Slimey Pebble.
PRP is right on 22 going east from Monroeville. I'm not sure where you're from normally, but from downtown PGH, it's about an hour to get there.
Jester... yeah, I would agree the sportlines are not "snow friendly". These dam cars are low enough stock to do some plowing...lol

YEAH... my day just got a whole lot longer....
Had an accident out in the shop. Some beams fell on someone and pinned them. Not sure what the status is, but I've not heard life flight, so that could be a good or bad thing.

Wow that sucks, Brian. Hope they are OK.
Makes me glad to work in a non-dangerous location. Worst "disaster" we could have here is if the sno-cone maker or the cappucino machine goes down. Even then, all we would have to do is walk across the street to Sunoco or down the street to Starbucks.
I guess someone could rob the bank downstairs, which happens surprisingly often, but that never affects us, we just get to stop working and watch all the police activity.
Cake job FTW!

Now, this kicks it up a notch.
BAM
I think my intercepter took a **** on me. The display is black numbers with absolutely no red in the background, tried inverting it and checking the plugs as well
only thing I have left to try is a different power supply, but the shift lights turn on when I turn the car on, so I think its getting enough.
