This sport, just like any other is built around all types and levels of committment.
We have a guy in an Evo that builds his car to do many things... auto-x, hillclimb, track days... some things he can't do for one thing, that he needs for the other.

He makes compromises and enjoys himself regardless of where he finishes.

Anyway... sorry I even said a word. I'll go back in my hole
If you are talking about Jared, he was out in his wifes BMW station wagon at the snow cross 2 weeks ago. It was as interesting to see as the douche bag in the porsche.

I'll agree with this since we've given too much discussion to auto-x now.

Alright you Pittsburg-ians, I stuck in your town for the night I'm freezing my ***** off. I came up here to pick up our jet from inspection and it isn't done yet. So I have to stay the night. It's snowing, it's cold, it's miserable. Why the **** do you live here? And don't give me any of that Steelers ****.

Depends on which airport you're at. If you're at County, yeah, it blows over there. If you're at PIT there's lots of win things to do out this way.

This is where I am tonight:

http://www.mapquest.com/maps?address...&zipcode=15301

We flew into international on Southwest, but then drove down to Washington county. That's where the shop is that has the plane.

 That explains a LOT. Itty bitty back road out near BFE. They used to run a charity auto-x out there once a year or so.

Soo last night night I made the bad decision of taking a turn wayyy too fast. I slid sideways through the turn smashing over a curb, clipping off a roadsign, and landing in a yard...

I need some advice on the best and quickest place to buy some parts. I'm pretty positive I am going to fix the car myself.

Cosmetic Damage...
Front fascia & lip
Black plastic airdam
Wheel scuffed

Mechanical Damage...
AC condenser destroyed
Radiator bent
CX Racing H/E destroyed
Passenger side spindle knuckle destroyed
Passenger side axle snapped in two places
Passenger side tie rod bent

Soo with that being said, any suggestions? I am going to try the route of the usual local parts stores to try and get the axle, knuckle, and tie rod to at least make the car driveable.

My fear is that since the axle snapped, it might have damaged the transmission... The car would not move forward or backwards in gear last night after the accident... Is it just because the axle was totally sheared, or is it likely transmission damage was caused? Any suggestions would be helpful. Thank you!

WOW! I'd check a few Junk yards for parts and if that doesn't work Check GM parts direct or CED...maybe even ebay if you get desperate...

Thanks man. Yea, I guess the aluminum knuckle didn't like the lateral forces, because it kinda just shattered...

Anyone have a set of stock axles laying around after an upgrade to DSS's?

Ouch! Sorry to hear of your poor fortune. Good luck on the rebuild. Why not just claim insurance?

Thanks man. The damage isn't terrible, soo I'm not going to turn it in. I don't feel like paying any more than I have to for insurance.

What I really need is an axle. I found a steering knuckle. Anyone know where I can find an axle locally?

Ouch. Good luck. My girlfriend slid on ice last year and ran directly into this HUGE rock. Messed the front bumper and the cooling system all up..

On a non-related note..

Don't stone me to death, but I MIGHT be still selling / trading alot of parts coming up before long. We went to the dealership today to figure out the car situation and my Mom will be getting something new and my Dad will probably take mine, then I'm gonna either use the Monte or trade it for this guys Mustang GT.. SO, if so, all parts will still be up for grabs. Just letting you know. I know I change my mind alot, but that's how I am. And Dan, if you still want the Recaros, you still have dibs. It will still be the Recaros, the GMPP exhaust, Injen intake, blackout headlights, Shift Plus, C-A triple pillar with Sunpro gauges, and possibly the Enkei's.. If I do this, I will also be looking for a set of 5-lug 16's/17's..

Again, sorry for always changing my mind, but I figured I'd throw it up. I will make a full post with details when/if it happens officially. Thanks..
