Stay on topic? This thread is a damn free for all. Don't give me bullshit about staying on topic.
I was simply posting the link because the ******* images were on it, not saying "look at this link, period".
Junk for sale each week? I've linked groups of stuff for sale on here three times. If it was weekly there'd be three YEARS worth of things on here. I was going to sell the car parts but then I kept the car. Whoops. My bad. I changed my damn mind.
Even if there's other people who may feel the same way as you, you're the only one who says anything. It's stupid. But no, go ahead and get back onto whatever "topic" you were discussing that was OH so important..

And to answer your earlier question... yes, I am that ******* cool.
Not to much going on here just waiting for the warm weather to come back the cars are good the SS/SC is still running strong and the Camaro has been covered up and put away. I see you picked up a new STI, how do you like it?

I like it a lot. Lots of parts sitting in the garage already waiting to go in, and snow-x is lots of fun haha
You should bring the SS to snow-x!! It's lots of fun
I see the numbers on the GSX I bet thats a blast you got to take me for a ride sometime!
Haha nice not surprised that you already have parts all lined up for it already lol I wish I had an AWD car to snowcross in beause either of mine wont go so great. I would come to watch!

Hope you guys can make an autocross this year with the Evos and STIs.
Denny Trice - 1:18.62, 1:22.10, 1:38.53
Chris Carlisle - RSX - 1:19.48, 1:21.24, 1:22.06, 1:26.00
He beat out all of the Evos. We have inferior AWD systems. He may not have beaten your best time, but considering what he was working with, it was impressive none the less.

Tim Wilson - DNF, 1:37.32

And hell yeah the STI will be at Auto-X. I plan to be at a lot this year. Sooo tired of hearing about it all the time so I figure I'll come show you how it's done.

Not much I am doing in stock class, but the parts are effective ones.
I'll post the region's schedule here once I get it.
I'll be hosting a TNT event the weekend of the 1st event as well.
Oh, and Carlisle is amazing... he'll be co-driving an Evo this year in SM and is FAST in it right out of the box.
Here's a pic of the new powder coated wheels.... can't wait to get some sticky tires on them.

If you expect any kind of conversation/discussion about auto-x out of me then let's just discuss times we actually run and not what class we're in because I find that whole system absolutely absurd. If you want to compare times that we run each time up there, cool with me.
I am doing 24mm front sway, 22mm rear sway, rear adjustable end links, inverted coilovers, steering rack bushings, anti-lift kit, turbo-back exhaust, tune, and 18x9.5" wheels with 275 or 285 tires all around
The tires alone apparently put me in BSP so what do I care what else I do.
Here's my car with the wheels I ordered (I Photoshopped them on to see what they will look like)
+1..
And it hurts to say this
, but I agree with Denny.
I have heard from a lot of autocrossers "Oh I really want to do this with my car, but it will bump me out of x class", If it was a strict autox car that got towed there and was not driven on the street, I can see it, but to limit the fun you can have with the car outside of autox because of some stupid rules, seems silly to me... but different strokes for different folks.

I see both sides of it and if you come out for the fun of it and seeing what your car can do, I can totally see where you're coming from, Denny & Matt.
If you're building a car for it, then you build it within the rules, just like any other form of racing. Not concerned with getting in that kind of pissing match, since it comes down to personal preference.
When you come out and run, you look at your raw times and go from there... plain and simple.
Me... I've never been interested in going and doing TONS to my cars, and the things I've wanted to do aren't big enough of a deal to worry about it...
The Z is a great car out of the box ( as is the STI ) and it's going to be a progression with me. I like the car the way it is for now. Do I see modding it down the road? Sure. Not until the car doesn't 'do anything' for me.
Anyway... wasn't making a statement to bait anyone into an argument...
Come out and have fun...
Thanks for the comments on the wheels. I got them done @ Durable Power Coaters in Export.

Modify the car how you want to. It's your damn car. I have no idea what class I'd be in if I went, but I don't give a damn. I'd just go out and have fun. Put your mods on and see where it puts you. Go from there. Have extra parts to convert to before going if you really want to..
Yes... what I should've added was that at any given weekend... we have roughly 85-100 cars...
I'd say that 3 out of 10 build their car to be competitive... the others build their cars to their likes and whatever class it ends up in... so be it.
This sport, just like any other is built around all types and levels of committment.
We have a guy in an Evo that builds his car to do many things... auto-x, hillclimb, track days... some things he can't do for one thing, that he needs for the other.
He makes compromises and enjoys himself regardless of where he finishes.
Anyway... sorry I even said a word. I'll go back in my hole

Haha, dont worry about it Brian.. you should already know where I stand on the autox class thing as we have had this discussion many times over the past couple of years, and I know where you stand, and I respect that.
Just saying if I woke up one day and said... "Damn id really love to put a supercharger, headers, cam, whatever on my Z06, but that will take me out of * class, nope cant do it", that is the day it gets a bit redic.
But hey, I can't run in any class with the bottle in the trunk
