I probably won't be. I got lots of tuning to do for the new setup and Angie isn't really up for it.

Sk... I will be there for sure... providing that the brakes I just put on work...lol

Al, I can see why they might sqeak a bit... there is a neoprene pad instead of a metal one on the side that faces out... so in theory there's not any need for pad lube like other pads.

I am going to try it as is and see what happens since I forogt the box didn't have any in it.

If it sqeaks.. that's why. I'll be a man and suck it up.

Got the brakes and rotors on the fronts, and now after I get a drink, I'm off to bed them in.

Matt, Jay, Wes, etc... I'll will be at the cruise around 5 or so. Call me and let me know.

Yeah, if you put lube on them, it does quiet it up for a couple days, then they just go back to squeaking. You probably won't notice for another few days though. But those pads sure do bite, I hate going from HPS to stock.

Al, so Angie is ok with you leaving to Tune the car, but not to come to Irwin ?

She could care less if I go to Irwin, I've been away from home all week and would like to spend some time later with her. Tuning the car can be done a mile down the highway, Irwin is an hour drive each way for me.

We'll be down I'm guessing, most likely 5-5:30. I'm finishing up the living room, going to TRY and vaccum/scrub the living room carpet before we leave AND get a shower while Wes is washing the cars (yup, mine's going to make a rare appearance as well, LOL).

No I wouldn't be caught dead in Pittsburgh...

Pennsylvania is the state that gets in my way when I am going to New York.

I'm telling you, I cannot WAIT to be done working in Pittsburgh. I just discovered tonight that some ignorant piece of dog **** keyed my rear bumper. It had to have happened Friday when I had the car parked at Mellon Arena; I hadn't parked it anywhere other than in my garage since and it wasn't there prior. Add that to the nice door-ding, front-bumper scuff, and array of hood-chips, all of which have happened since I started working there...

I'm not getting it fixed either... I've spent enough damn money on this car. I'll buff what I can and touch-up the rest... people have no respect for anything anymore, I swear to God...

fun times tonight guys....

almost put the car into a wall in the liberty tunnels tonight tho...

wet tires + not being used to the lack of torque management + rwd = seeing the walls of the tunnels through my front window... thank god traction control was on, and it snapped me back straight... scary ****...

still fun!

For u haters that say the ion is never clean:

Did it myself too lol...someone elses photography tho

Well just bought a hiny new Bel X65 radar detector. The tests say its as good or better than the valentine 1...well find out

Also i been lloking out for police scanners for our summer activities and found this page:
http://www.gmans.net/scanner_page.htm

As long as we have internet we can listen to the Westmoreland county dispatch over a laptop. If we dont have internet we need a roughly 3-400 dollar digital trunking scanner...yikes

Im installing the scanner now to see how it works

Sorry Stef, But there's soo many of us that we usually don't geta chance to PM individuals as to what's going on.

Pretty much, you can garuntee that if the weather is even remotely close to being nice ( just like last night ), we're at the Irwin Cruise on a Saturday night. Maybe not the turnout we got last night, but there's at least 2 or 3 of us.

As a rule, I would say check on here around noon on Saturdays, and see what is going on.

You could also try PM'ing one of us that day and finding out. Even if I'm not on the site, I get the emails.

Dan T...

That's the cleanest I've EVER seen the car. The wheels are still in need of a good cleaning.

I agree with Denny... great scale reference, I do the same thing, but for different reasons

I think the Cobalt related highlight last night was as we're all leaving to grab food and 1) the guys counting how many Cobalts in a row we had .. Matt just waiting for them to call the GTO a CObalt... and 2 ) The view out my window as we're all turning on 30 and all you see as a big arcing line of Cobalts and a Goat tunring and launching on to 30.

Hell, I even hit the rev limiter playing catch up.

Great time last night and glad everyone made it home ok.

EDIT:

As a side note... if anyone is bored today... Day Chevrolet is having an ALL CORVETTE show today @ noon. I'll be there and Dan P is maybe coming too.

Gotta see my corvettes
