Well my car is officially fucked. I hit a raccoon last night and cracked my front bumper fairly bad and I also have a cracked radiator. So the cars out of commission for like a week til all the insurance stuff gets straightened out, so im stuck driving my girlfriends alero
, but hey its better than a 2.2 right
It right where the right mount is for it and kinda just pushed the mount right into the radiator.... oh well im gonna see if the body shop will also fix that lil dent on my rear quarter panal.
That sucks, Dan. My car's been out of commission for two weeks now. Will be out a few more too. Needs front sway bar links and Day needs to find my ******* caliper rebuild kits that I ordered WEEKS ago. Plus in removing my passenger front sway bar link....I need new SS lines. Since the CA ones didn't last too long I think I'm going to give Goodridge a try, they're supposed to be excellent.
That sucks alicia, I mean it could DEFINATELY be worse that what I had, could have messed up the intercooler as well, but now I get a brand new bumper to scrape up on hills
Yah, having no money what so ever blows. Car also needs a new fuel filter, new cabin air filter, and new struts all around. Also gotta buy a new bed before my back is permanently stuck in a Z-formation.

I guess I'm joining the "my car needs repairs" club too... my rotors are warped all to hell. The steering wheel shakes like a mother every time I put the brakes on. I hate to think what THAT is going to cost...
How much do you guys think it would cost to get that rksport spolier painted? I might just have the body shop take the old spolier off, cause I heard its a bitch to get off, and just put the new on. But that will only happen when I get some moneyl.
They wanted 400 to take my old spolier off and fill the holes and paint the trunk, I was thinking more like 100 or something.......hmmmmm. Well I can still sell the old spolier for like $400 on ebay atleast.
So after all my camaro and challenger research I have little doubt in my mind that the camaro would win in the 1/4. The challenger baiscally has the weight of a 300c, 4,000lbs. While I expect the camaro to have a similar weight to the GTO 3725. While the Challenger has 425hp the Camaro will have 430. Stock rubber however will be a big factor.
Had to say my predictions to someone... and everyone at work would have no idea WTF I was talking about. either way I see mid to high 12's for the camaro and low 13's to low12's for the Challenger "err I mean SRT8"

The 6.1 is going to be offered in the regular one, but the 6.4 will be in the "super sport" challenger. I figured the Challenger is on the same platform as the SRT-8 so that it would have similar weight "4,000lbs". The Camaro weight was just an assumption because it is using the zeta platform , the same as the commodore, and that weighs around 3800lbs and it will more than likely have the ls3 out of the 08 vette that puts out 430hp since the ls2 is dead.

The last is very impressive, but I dont see them selling that for the 30k that the price has been rumored to be, or having that traction setup. I could see them charging 30k for one with a 6.1 in it however.
And it looks like the Super sport and GT500 may have a rival after all

An excerpt from the last article.
"The other reason the motorheads at GMPP built this beast is because the coming '09 Camaro will probably have an SS edition available, which will be powered by this same engine right off the showroom floor."
The final Camaro engines are purely speculation at this point, supercharged or LS7 either way im not sure I see it happening but who knows, GM is going to need a car to compete with the GT500 and Challenger Super Sport.
Everyone has their own opinions and thats how it should be, those are mine judging by the facts I have been reading these past two months.
