Hmm, 0-123mph in 3.8 seconds, then straight up for 420 feet, two corkscrews, pivot on a hill then back down through 2 more corkscrews and another 420 feet straight down...yeah, I love the GTO, but it'll never be that fast. Top Thrill Dragster...look it up on youtube if any of you haven't seen it before.

But yes, I'm sad I missed GTO night.

I dunno if I'd be ready for the Top Thrill Dragster yet or not, LOL. Seriously I literally went from HATING roller coasters a month and a half ago to liking coasters. I rode one for the first time without a feeling of sheer terror in July at Worlds of Fun in Kansas City and I JUST ventured onto the Thunderbolt and Phantom's Revenge at Kennywood (but loved em both), so we'll see.

The way I see it is console gaming is like racing an automatic transmission. Sure its racing but even my grandma couldn't **** it up.

PC gaming, well you get the idea.

Pulled automatically for any gamertag you give it. There are live XML feeds of Xbox Live data that anyone with a license from MS can read. That's why there are gamercard sites, blogs, Live friend sites, game recommendation sites, and more.

You wouldn't know anything about an organized cross-game online gaming network... because it doesn't exist on PC.

me and some college buds worked at cedar point several summers ago and we had a blast. it was the first year the dragster opened up. the opening day the line stretched all the way to the front entrance and wrapped around a few other rides...people were in line the entire day! they had ride nights for employees after all the patrons left and one ride would stay open and we could ride as many as times as we wanted...did that a few times then went to the empoyee bar

LOL don't worry Dan, I was getting the same dialogue from Wes last night as well about the whole console vs. PC thing. Was pretty entertaining.

I'll admit they both have plusses and minuses, but overall I still prefer to play my games on a console.

Denny, might want to scoot over to 300cforums.com. They seem pretty cool. One ******* in the thread that the dude who I raced posted. However, when he started talking **** on my car, they all jumped down his throat.

Yeah I saw your post Jon, but in all honesty, most of the LX owners are just such tools that I really don't post anything. I only go to look for deals on parts Occassionally I find some useful info, but even that is rare.

Oh, and Denny, one thing you said in the charger forum kinda struck me...I hadn't really thought of it.

Why are (most) 4-bangers always the ones who gotta feel extremely excited/proud when we beat something with more cylinders, twice the hp/cost, etc? Like we have to go jump around, etc. It's not all that hard to get 300hp outta a 4-banger, anymore. And, right off the bat, we have the weight advantage.

Like you said, it's the 400+ hp V8s who gotta wonder why they aren't much, much faster haha Something to do with physics, but I'm not sure what

LOL...Yeah, I have no dillusions about what my car is/isn't, but so many V8 owners think they are fast. Sorry, but mid to low 13's stock is good, and awesome compared to many of the 60's and 70's muscle cars some of us grew up with (*cough - showing age cough*), but so many act like it's just the end-all be-all.

The SRT8 guys think they have some super-high performance vehicle, but in all honesty we waaaaaaay overpaid for what we get. Still like it though for a daily vehicle!

*cough*

Yeah..., you're old Denny ...

I agree though.... other than Vette/Viper cars, there's alot of BS out there by V8 guys in general.

They cling to the old notion that there's no replacement for displacement.

It's all about the power to weight ratio and also getting that power to the ground.

Everything else is bench racing.
