Not to mention that after last year, i think everyone agreed that they can be unsafe for spectators due to no guard rails or barriers

I'm about 3 pages away from finishing my master degree I've been working on this 20 page paper, straight, since 3pm yesterday.

Almost...there.

I'm getting sick of my leaky exhaust system. Does some place like Monroe, or Jeff @ 1st try, do custom cat-backs? MY magnaflow muffler's still fine, I just need new piping with solid gaskets. I don't really want to drop $600 on a catback, if I don't have to.

Jeff will do piping for you. He did my entire exhaust. He's pretty good on pricing... just difficult to get to focus on the project sometimes... haha.

Jon,
There's a place right on 65 in Bellevue that is supposed to be good at doing custom stuff and reasonable.. Never rust exhuast or something named like that....

been thinking about getting a new set of pipes.....

Yes... I agree... but it's not becuase of a WUSS factor... it's becuase 1/8 mile and our cars don't get along... the last 1/8 in the qtr mile is where we finally catch up.

Theres 200 yards of grass, and another runway between racing and spectators.

Yes, since having fun is for losers.

I dont buy that.. there are a ton of cobalts that go up there, and a ton of other FWD cars... I dont think theres a "Wuss" factor going on at all, Its about having a blast, people are just too closed minded to come have some fun, look at cars and have some runs, I can't really explain the lack of interest here.

But those of you that ARE going, and the guy from uniontown, if you want, we will be meeting at the Kings right off of 79 north in wexford ~ 10:30am for breakfast on saturday, and we will leave and take the 20 min drive to the airport after, you guys are more than welcome to join us.... Gates open at noon, with racing starting at 2.

^^ I never said "having fun is for losers" anywhere in my posts.

I just said that it's kinda pointless cause it's running for only 1/8 of a mile with no timing. It's purely car-to-car (straight-line) racing in a short distance with absolutely no data to compare from run to run. FWD cars don't exactly get the best launch off of the line, so that puts them at an inherent disadvantage from the start. Add to that the fact that you get nothing that you can use to make adjustments and compare from run to run (like 60' times, trap speeds, etc.), it's pointless save for the use of comparing your 1/8 mile run to the car beside you.

That's not to say you can't have fun there. I'm talking about what interests me, and this not only doesn't interest me, but provides no technical use whatsoever.

Its not really for test n tune, or for timeslips, or to prove anything, its a 6 hour car show/meet with races, its a ****** blast... 75% of the cars that go up there are FWD.

Too bad you didn't come around when it was actually cool/fun over here...now, not so much. Like I said on the other board, I'll let you know when we'll be out somewhere and let me know when you pick yours up - I know a couple of us that want to see it
