Any of you local guys that have modded your SC car know of one laying around???

I really don't want to have to drop major cash on this thing right now, but if I have to I will.
If you can wait I will have one available eventually.

guess it depends on "eventually"....

if we're talking a couple weeks.... I can... if it's a month or more, then I'll have to figure something out.

Thanks for the offer Steve!

Thats about the 5th one ive seen go bad at the flex pipe. Seems to be common. If u cant find a stocker the ZZP one is a pretty nice replacement option

BTW for those of you that thought Id be moving far far away and never seeing you guys again...myself included...your in for a treat.

Got my assignment papers for schlumberger today.

01/26/09 Bradford, PA

Its nice knowing that Ill be near home. Kinda did want to move to the south tho. Mixed feelings but still excited...I got a slight pay bump over my last contract amounting to 300/month

Dan... seeing as that I now don't need to care about stock class rules on the SS... I can do that... can I get one with a Cat?? I still want to stay PA State legal.... us old guys care about that.

I was told that after 60-70K miles they are prone to going bad. I might have the dealer look and see if it's just that gasket, or if it's the whole unit.

PLUS side... the guy @ monroe didn't charge me for swapping out the resonator gasket

Glad you're not going to be too far from the area. Not only are you a great source of car info, but you're always alot of fun to have around.

Thanks,

The zzp can be ordered with or without a cat. Tho cat codes are just a click away lol. you can also order 2.5 or 3" depending on ur preference.

When is the install happening? Same time as Dan's tranny tear down?

Thanks for the info... I take it this is a 1-pc deal that comes from the exhuast manifold to the end of where the stock unit bolts up to the resonator?

Have to look them up... if it's cheaper than the stock I'll have to really think about it.

I take it I would have to have a bung welded for the O2 sensor as well?

I actually think they come with the bung welded in and you have the option for it to come with a 2nd bung for a wideband.

If the pipe has a cat, it should have the o2 boss welded in. If it doesn't have one, it may or may not have the boss welded, if it doesn't you don't need it without a cat anyway. The rear o2 is only used to make sure the cat is working, if you don't have one, you don't need the rear o2. If Dan is going to remove the cat codes, he can remove the rear o2 ones as well.

How many miles are on yours?

Did you re-use your stock O2 sensor?

Let me check what they are new, and I'll give you something comparable to the miles you got on it.

It was on my car from Dec 20th 07' when I bought the car new until about June when I took it off to install my header & dp. The car had maybe 6000 - 7000 miles on it at the time (if that, as it only has 10,000 miles on it now). Yes both of my stock O2 sensors are in use in my existing setup as well as my wideband sensor.

Do you need the manifold and dp, or just the dp?

Just going to need the downpipe .. that flex pipe part with the cat... I SHOULD be able to re-use the O2 sensor in mine, but might just get a new one in case. Mine will probably be stubborn to get out...

Alright. I never had any problems removing the O2 sensors. A 7/8 open end wrench took it right out. But your car does have significantly more miles on it than mine, soo it might be a little stuck...

An O2 sensor socket and some elbow greese should get the sensor out. A new O2 sensor is probably gonna run you as much as or more than the DP...

Yes... those two bolts that connect the cat-back to the rest.... one came out easy.. the other had to be bruned/ ground out...

Dave wants to do Dans clutch and the turbo this weekend. That might be a bit too much since we really don't know whats wrong with Dans clutch plus Daves garage is getting small with the Camaro in there. I just don't want to fly threw getting this kit installed. Maybe if we start tearing into Dans car on Fri or get a few thing going on my car(intercooler wideband).
