Best i saw was a silver redline with slicks on the front that ran 13.6-.8 something like that at 105ish? Wasnt paying that close of attention, plus they took the times and mph down so quick in between runs. There was a silver cobalt with a body kit on it with some wierd black rear bumper thing.... Finally, Luigi (whats up!!!) only saw 1 run of yours then we left.

I think that's the infamous pipe-crackin' silver s/c we're discussing. Did it have a full body kit and a c/f Camaro SS style hood? If so, that's our boy. Honestly, he's a cool dude, he just drives like a crazy man. And it's not just for you. It's 24/7. He drove me to the Auto Zone by him. We went 80+ the whole way. lol.

chances are the silver redline you saw with slicks was probably me. The slicks are too much for the stock clutch on the 1-2 shift. it sucks. haven't gone back since. Maybe I'll head up sometime with just my streets on to see what i'll trap.

No pics or vids. Sorry. But there are 3 witnesses. There is no way that redline was 400whp or else it had the most serious case of heat soak/knock/shitty tune/:insert any other excuse here: because his first 2 runs never broke 106mph. Even if he sucked at driving and could only pull a 13.2, his traps should have been way higher. Now like i said, i only saw his 1st 2 runs but he would have had to pull a lot of mph out of his ass for anything after what we saw. Not hating, i owned an SS/SC and was around the OG cobalt crew and there were some fast LSJ's running around and none of them sniffed 400whp without a tvs/cams/meth or an ugly holset turbo conversion. Can i say that now? Ugly holset turbo conversion.....lawl. IIRC, wes was around 108ish with a 2.5 at about 290ish whp.

I think you need a link to his thread.

He has a TVS/meth/NOS. Supposedly he wasn't running the NOS. Then he had looks like intake manifold failure from self-proclaimed "meth backfire."

Hence why I was asking about vids and their role in said epicness.

EDIT: Build thread where he says he ran a 12.9 https://www.cobaltss.net/forums/2-0l-lsj-performance-tech-47/streetdreamz-build-176891/
Dyno thread https://www.cobaltss.net/forums/dyno-results-170/streetdreamz-does-411whp-396ft-lbs-176782/

So if what he said is correct, it was only a 320whp car.

I dyno'd 255whp and was running 13.4's and trapping 110mph. Also getting 2.0 60's on OEM tires while snapping axles.

Only had ~500 dollars into the car at the time as well. 2.5" ring, 60#s, intake, and Dan Tune.

Obviously, he is doing it wrong.

The new owner just put slicks on my old car, and is getting 12.7's exactly the way I left it.

see wes's post that is dead nuts accurate in terms of what was done...well there was a cat delete in there too i think

That tune was 255-260 on my car and would lay down 109 traps. Wes's went low 13s @108-109...I had clutch issues and never got a clean pass with my car.

And yes you could always say ugly holset conversion...I never denied it lol

Joel actually came close to trapping 111 the first time he took his down to the track. Same mods as mine, think he went 110.8, IIRC.

Running your car on the highway was proof of that, too. But I didn't build the car for topend, or else I wouldn't of ran that small ass pulley and Dan's winrar SD Tune.

I already told Wes he could run the car at PRP. I just need to order the harness so I can get everything on the car. I guess it wouldn't hurt to find a priest willing to bless my axles. In a pinch, I guess Al would work since he plays a priest on WoW...and he's a 'chanter too....maybe he can hook me up.

So how many runs are you guys getting at PRP this season? Assuming 3 runs a night, no LSD in the car right now, at least 1 hour of wrench time while they clean up the fluids that puked on the track.....probably one night of Wes driving should consume 2-3 axels, but since driver's side and passenger's side aren't interchangeable that would mean I should have at least 3 driver's side axels on hand, maybe a passenger side or 2 just in case.
