Axles are interchangeable...just remove the passenger side from the intermediate shaft and voila...interchangeable

I also sell tires. near the north shore area, i'll throw some deals to some of the local rides, email at p.b.fan@hotmail.com for prices.

For what? Open track? Auto-x? I thought the track day was Friday, but I know 2 people with black SS's that run the Flat-out days and one of them IS blacked out.

Do any local people have a scan machine like the GM dealers do? A Tech II or something it's called. My car needs a dealer flash after going back to a stock header/dp and I don't want to go back to the dealership if not necessary. Already tried a hard reset and a scanner clearing as well as the waiting game. No luck.

I'm confused on why you need a "dealer flash".....

Your best bet if that's what you really need is to go to the dealer. I don't see any locals dropping $2500 on a Tech II.

What you need is someone with a scan tool that can read and clear codes from the BCM and the PCM. Most cheap scan tools only read trouble codes for the motor.

Yeah, that's basically what I'm referring to. Something that can clear both types. A standard scanner isn't working, hence the "dealer flash". Anyone able to do that or do I just have to go back down there - again?

Unless you can find a mechanic with one you're going to have to go to the dealer. $2500 is a little steep for the average Joe to run out and buy one.

You probably don't have to go to the dealership to get that done. Any decent garage should have a scan tool that can do it. Might be worth it to call around and ask how much they charge to clear them...

Sad part is that it's literally 3 minutes worth of work and it will probably cost you $25 at a garage and like $50 at the stealership...

It'd actually likely cost me very little at the dealer, I just really don't want to have to get up for 8am to get it done. lol. We always go to Crivellis in McKees Rocks. My Grandpa is friends with the owner. We get the best deal on everything. And since I had it in a few weeks ago, it might even be complimentary. Such as, I needed a new BCM. I got it for like 50 bucks instead of 300 something. It pays to wake up for 8am sometimes. haha
