Pittsburgh Crew < You
Hey Dan... good to see you're still around
I am looking at a 1500 Z71 Ext cab, with the 5.3.
I was @ KR Chevy today and the most they'd give for the SS was 3500... mayb 3800. That and they $$ off the Silverado was less than the Sierra, and it was 1000 more, so between all that, it looks that if I will settle for NOT getting the remote start, dual Zone climate, power folding mirrors, bluetooh with steering wheel controls, I can get a smoking deal on the GMC...
Don't know... really liked the Silverado

Screw it dude get the Chevy, you only live once and you are going to have the truck for a long time, get something you are going to be happy with and not say what if in the end... just imo
Yeah.. I'm running #s over here to figure out the price differences...talking about 80 to 100 a month difference between the two, so I don't know.
Going to go back and talk over a few options over @ chevy as well... they have a nice demo there that's sharp, but I don't want the blingy 20" wheels.. other than that, it's exactly the truck..
Plus found another one tonight that I want to check out on Monday.
I agree... you only live once... that's why I bought the Z06 last fall... kicks major butt.
BTW... you get a tax credit for buying a new car I hear as well

UPDATE:
SS is going to be traded in tonight @ North Star GMC in Zelienople. The Steelies are going to be up for sale.
Averagewhiteboy expressed intrest in them so he gets 1st dibs. $100 for all 4 wheels and tires... and the lugs nuts go with it.

Congrats! Loaded Sierra?
Grats! Enjoy the new truck!
I appreciate the first grabs man, but if anyone has the money already and wants them, go for it. I'd like them, but it's not top priority at the moment. But if not, I'm still interested. Any pics of them by chance? I don't know if any have surfaced on the pages yet.. I'll keep my eyes on the Pittsburgh thread here, but PM me up in a few days if noone else takes the steelies. We'll go from there if not. Thanks dude.
By the way, grats on the truck. I'd like an early-90's Silverado 350 myself..

Ok... I'll keep you posted on the pics.. I need to un bury them from the garage anyway.
Tim... it's a decently equipped SLE trimmed truck.
Carbon Black, Z71 and a few options, but not all decked out with remote start, dual Zone heat and bluetooth. Thing is QUIET inside.
I can actually have a conversation in the thing.

I'll see if I can find some from last winter.
no rush. and for all the other pittsburgh guys. I'm looking for some advice. The only thing done to my car is a TWM sts. I'm looking for horsepower gains. and I'm in second year engineering. I love cars and working on them. but he funds are low. But christmas is around the corner and I'll be getting a couple fat checks. well at least to me lol
anyway I'm looking for horsepower gains and I'm interested in stage 2, and exhaust and an intake. The one thing I'm confused about is tunning. I would love to learn how to using hptuners. but If you get the gm stg2 than idk if you can. an when it comes to modding cars I get nervous when it comes to the whole pcm thing and messing around with it. I don't like to throw codes, I gotta keep it emissions legal ( i know that doesn't really deal with the pcm) and I just want some more horsepower.
any one know a good tuner?
anyone know hptuners really well?
anyone have any suggestions?
any help is great. I appreciate it!!

I'm going to this one guy for HPTuners who lives over the Ohio line. Mainly because he can do 2.4 autos. But since you have an s/c, there's lots more guys who do those. There should still be a few more local guys around who do s/c HPTuners..
Without owning one, I'd say to do the normal intake, header, d/p, catback. For the blower you can do a smaller pulley too. See how that feels. Then get it tuned. See again. Then go Stage 2 etc after. Retune. Most tuners only charge like 20 bucks for a re-tune.. But that's just from an n/a guy. I'm sure some of the local s/c folks can point you in a better direction.. Good luck.

Of course we know what steelies look like. But if that's the case, why does everyone wanna see pics of s/c wheels, s/c lips, seats, etc for sale? We all know what they look like..
My Balt is pretty one of a kind. Flat black wheels, flat black on orange paint, gen 3 halos, led tails, heh.
anybody on here total their yellow ss???? My freind has garage right next to this tow yard in clairton drove past it last night and seen it... looked bad whole passenger side is all cut up and looks like the roof was smashed...
