Uhhohhh! Sorry to hear that! Def sucks. Hopefully you and the Mr. can get it fixed up real soon. I have a takeoff hood I'm trying to get rid of for $100 if you're going to fix it yourself and it helps your situation any.

My CF hood was untouched THANK GOD.

The only parts I know I need so far are:

front lip
radiator
passenger side fog light assembly
upper TC grille
lower grille
steel front bumper support
foam bumper support padding

We're not fully fixing it ourselves because of the bumper support being tweaked, cause IIRC that requires being welded on instead of bolted. And there are some things that are bent that will require more attention than we can give them.

I'm going to start tearing off the front fascia as soon as I get home tonight to get a better idea of what all needs replaced.

Glad to hear you're mostly alright, and the damage wasn't tooo bad.

The front bumper support is held on by (4) 14mm? bolts it I recall correctly. If it's the piece under the bumper and foam, I know I've had it off before installed a H/E with no welds.

The radiator can be sourced pretty cheap from rockauto.com if you don't mind non-OEM. There is also a place near Irwin called Spitz Auto that carries the rad, H/E, and AC condensor if you need them local.

Good luck!

Nice, thanks for the help. Gonna buy the front bumper support if it can be bolted on/off then. That's actually a BIG help.

Now my only concern is whether or not the rad support is bent or not.

No prob. Ya the support def bolts on/off, I'm prolly wrong on the bolt size though lol.

If it helps I have a RockAuto.com discount code '26596712201505' that expires on the 13th you could use. When I was looking for parts before they seemed to be the cheapest on rads and such.

There is also a thread on here about a guy on eBay selling bumpers and lips. Supposedly a GM 'defect' part but the people that got them reported great quality. Might be something to look into as well as Morad Parts direct or eBay store for body parts.

Should be able to get it fixed up pretty cheap if you don't wanna turn it in to insurance.

Yeah, not going through insurance but it's still going to be around $2500. I already have $600 in parts to buy myself, that's not including installation or anything else.

The steel bumper bar is 6-8 bolts. Biggest thing to know is make sure you order one for the same year as your car / check the VIN'S. there is 2 different bumper bars for the Cobalt.. Sometime in 06 I think they changed over. When I had to replace mine, i got the wrong one the first time. The Energy crash foam and the nose wont fit if you get the wrong one.

Give a shout if you need a hand at all with anything. I have a shop, and I've pretty much had my car completely apart. I wouldn't mind giving a hand to a fellow local in need.

Nice! Sadly it isn't going to last I've heard.

I am now realizing how damn hard it is to keep a black car clean, summer will be a challenge. I hate washing cars...

Whats up guys? Do you know any local Pittsburgh CSS'ers who would like to buy an OTTP Stage 3 TVS kit? It's brand new and I'm selling it in classifieds for $1,950.00 but will do a local discount for $1,800.00.

Good luck with the sale. I was able to sell my TVS on here for $1500 shipped. Not sure if anyone local will jump on it, but I'd definitely post a for sale ad in the classifieds. Prepare to get tons of tirekickers and nobody who will really front the money. Unfortunately a large percentage of people are cheap on here lol.

Yeah, its pretty hilarious what people offer on a for sale thread that is 12 hours old. I got 5 pms from some dude who insisted that I wasn't going to get more than $200 for my 18" Rial wheels and tires and that I should just sell them to him. He maxed out my pm folder in a couple of hours. I'm just going the toss the TVS kit up on eBay next week and take my chances.
