The Cobalt will probably be gone after Thursday.

That said, I'll have a set of 16" steelies with fairly new winter tires.

Anyone heading to PRP Thursday? Will be there in my '64 Ford F100. May have someone drive up my Cobalt too, but probably not. Ran it once when it had 900 miles on it, only thing that has changed is wheels/tires.

Cool. Also for the autocrossers, SCR event #2 Saturday, NHSCC event #4 Sunday. I will be at the event on Saturday co-driving a Z06, unsure about Sunday in my car yet.

Not much bro. I will be in an old blue Ford pickup with white wheels, stop by and say hi. I'm going to be ripping up the track to the tune of mid 16's if I'm lucky lol.

Looking pretty iffy at this point. 60% chance of rain from 4-8, down to 40% after. Not like that means anything.

Truck went a 16.0@82 uncorrected off the street hot, with the timing way too far advanced (pushing 50 degrees total). The distributor has a terrible advance curve, we didn't think it was fully advancing so we purposely set it aggressive so I could back it off and watch the truck pick up mph. Unfortunately they shut the track down at the first sign of lightning. Next time. I really think this truck has a 15.2 or so in it once I curve the distributor and get some semi-decent air. Will run it next Thursday, then it is time for heads/cam and maybe a small shot.

Yeah, it started to downpour out here right when the West Hills crew was getting ready to head out, we didn't really feel like driving 2 hours in traffic to possibly get rained out.

What make and year is the truck ? I used to race my old GMC up there in the 80s. Got it to run consistant 13.0s at 100mph with 10 mils per gallon. The old 454SS runs 15.0 stock

13.0 at 100? Were you hitting the brakes before the finish? Mph seems really low for the ET, lol. Truck has more in it, we only had one run, had way too much timing in it (fighting with the factory's horrendous advance curve).

What does it fit? Truck has 351W. Definitely interested if that's what it is for, was going to put pertronix guts in it anyway, would rather have the HEI.

It was a heavy mother with a home built 427 in it. I used a 366 crank and rods, 454 block and L88 pistons with half the dome cut off . Heads were 1970 454 closed chamber ported with 2.25 and 1.88 valves. Ran the factory 2nd design L88 cam with an ATI 3500 stall and 373 gears

Thanks for posting that up. Seems way too cheap though, the cheapest I have seen one for in Summit was like ~130. Have you used their distributors before? Hell, for 50 bucks it's worth a try.

Believe it or not its the same one Summit sells. I sold 200 of them in the last 4 years and they work. They have an adjustable vacumn advance. Ill be putting in another order in 2 weeks for Parts A Rama if you want to look at one first. I usually get 2 cases of Chevys and a couple Fords.
