My friend and her husband are headed to that, I'd be tempted to come down with them since I could crash at their house in Bedford, but I'm off to Dallas this weekend.

No, but I think her brother-in-law is. Not sure what his first name is, but I'm assuming his last name is Gates.

If you plan on autocrossing at all competitively, ever, I wouldn't do it. Puts you into a much faster class. Just letting you know.

Would it be bad for performance? Or just bad cause it changes my class.

Won't hurt performance at all, will help with accelerating out of corners, but since the 2.2 was never offered with an LSD, you'll get bumped out of stock class.

You shouldn't have a problem finding a shop to do the install, that transmission is not that difficult to tear down, just make sure they know it's not the supercharged/turbocharged transmission.

Well I haven't run in a stock class. I mean I have a supercharged 2.2, I don't think I'm really that stock.

Yeah bumping to a different class is the least of your worries.

No, I wrecked it at a hillclimb back in '07. Had a couple other race cars since then, planning an all out build over the winter hopefully, probably another blown fox.
