Can anyone in the Pittsburgh area install an LSD on a 2.2 cobalt?

 

If you plan on autocrossing at all competitively, ever, I wouldn't do it. Puts you into a much faster class. Just letting you know.

 

Would it be bad for performance? Or just bad cause it changes my class.

 

Won't hurt performance at all, will help with accelerating out of corners, but since the 2.2 was never offered with an LSD, you'll get bumped out of stock class.

You shouldn't have a problem finding a shop to do the install, that transmission is not that difficult to tear down, just make sure they know it's not the supercharged/turbocharged transmission.

 

Well I haven't run in a stock class. I mean I have a supercharged 2.2, I don't think I'm really that stock.
