Well I am really hoping for 425 whp and at least that in torque. It could probably be pushed further, but for my daily driver, it's probably enough. There are people that have this setup running 400 whp with no meth, so I think it's definately within reason.

I know on the last Evo with meth and only running 50/50 meth/water, I was at 362 whp and 388 torque, and this time I am running 75%meth/25%water, plus I have headstuds so that I can go higher than 26psi on "race days"

Hope it goes well!

LOL. Well if all goes well, I will be doing the 2.3 or 2.4 stroker next winter and then maybe bigger turbo, depending on what this one can do

I got more than a year, I make sure of that. I think once I get 350whp and hopefully same TQ I will call it quits performance wise. I will try to get 375 just so I can run atleast an 11.9, but we will see. Then I go into rice mode and make it a purdy fast show car. CF and Sparco int, mmmmm.

I keep saying it....i think the only way to make these cars fast are to sell them and get something else with greater potential rather than 300 whp or just north of....I really feel that in the long run it will be cheaper and more reliable. I think money is faster than these cars.....

Oh Indeed. I just like working on it basically. All these guys saying they are gonna get 500+whp out of it reliably for a DD are full of ****. Is why I trashed the twincharge plan.

If I wasn't already upside down, and with shitty insurance. I would have so had an EVO 9 MR by now, or a new STi.

My problem with that though is with that kind of power it can only be a straightline car. I've already been told by several VERY experienced SCCA guys that the SS/SC is more than capable of winning a national championship in DS.

well yeah for that you gotta look at super street time trail ss/sc. makes 285 horse and was the fastest car in there time trails. something like that were your gonna wanna spend almost more money on suspension than you are engine. what i would prolly do for that is coil overs with an adjustable dampering, strut bar,and front and rear sway bar. and stock sc tire i here are pretty nice for that. then engine just full exhaust, intake and stage 2,mayb one size bigger injectors. and just tune for bottom end torque. and go out one day and have hella fun on backroads till you get your suspention were u like it.

Coilovers are on order, rear sway should be here in the next couple weeks, sway bar links will soon follow, no front sway bar out yet that has benefit over stock for the SC, and a subframe are all in the near future.

Engine wise I think I'm going to do the GM build next year with a TVS swap for the better efficiency range at some point in the next year or two. Engine is actually fairly decent stock, I'm usually one of the faster lap times where I run.

As for tires, the Rossos are garbage, but then again that's why I bought these:

BTW I am a PROUD new owner of a Wii - FINALLY. Got mine this morning. LOVE IT. Most fun I think I've ever had. And that's only playing Wii Sports so far. Have COD3 and SMB sitting here waiting, plus checkin out some of the VC games. Best $250 I've ever spent.

OK.... wow...

I missed a crapload over the weekend...

Wes, If you start running below 12secs... you're gonna need to cage teh car... be careful what you do there. Once you do it once... they aren't gonna let you run again like you are now. Just a thought.

I'm in agreement with Tim... if you want certain things from your car... the only way to achieve it is to trade up. Alicia is right in the Solo aspect as well, though. All depends on what you're looking for.

things are slowly turning the corner and companies are coming out with stuff for the cars, so that's good. Now we'll have to see just how good all of it is.

If you would've added... "I met this girl @ church while I was with my new girlfriend.." it would've been even MORE like the BJ we all know and love....

LOL

Well, I'm glad to hear that BJ.

I know that Thursday IS one of the days everyone usually gets together, but there are other days as well.

I'm off OT for now ( dammit ) so I'll be around more.

Yeah, Thursday's pretty standard get-together night, but really any night is fine.

As of next week, I'm going to be joining Brian in the early curfew club. Full-time pay FTW, early wake-up FTL.

Stage 2 Install

I know for the most part everyone in the pgh area is either stock or tuned by Dan but I figured I'd throw this question out there anyway. I'm looking to go Stage 2 in a month or two. I have only called once place about the cost of installation and they said around $350. That seems a bit ridiculous to me. Anyone get a better quote or know someone who has had it installed for cheaper? This was from Crivelli in Mckees Rocks.

Dan,

Do you have a copy of the Stage 2 Tune or something similar? I want a little extra oomph with my SS but would rather stick with the 42#'s and a 2.9 or 3.0 pulley.
