good price, but that's not the same ID plate that is on all of the transmissions I've seen. It should have a GM plate with a barcode and some other information.

has anyone else seen those plates that are on this, or is it a rebuild? Maybe it's a hot transmission and they thought by removing the ID plate that it could not be traced, but there are serials on internal parts which make it easily traceable. Isn't it illegal to remove an engine number on a vehicle part?

this guy has the same pics as you, hope it's you selling on ebay too

NEW Saab 9-3 9-5 Cobalt SS Ion Redline HHR Transmission - eBay (item 230581376586 end time Feb-09-11 12:10:32 PST)
Here's the correct tag you are talking about man.

OP: This is what the tag on the top of the transmission should look like.

yeah, without having an actual plate on it, there's no telling what parts are actually inside of that. I wouldn't touch it with a ten foot pole

I'm selling the trans for the owner of Autotech (hence the ebay username)

Autotech Driveline - your source for WavetracŽ, Holinger, Drexler, QuaifeŽ
AUTOTECH - Quaife Torque Biasing Differentials, Close Ratio Gearkits, Racing Transmissions, Custom Driveline Components

Autotech imported the Quaife LSD units from Quaife UK for GM over 6 years ago

this trans was an early production unit before GM re-tagged the casings

I will get a pic up soon of the 'clear nature' of the axle engagement area which all Quaifes have...

Here's proof of the Quaife:

Quaife has "see-through axle engagement"

Stock diff is not "see-through"

Umm... those "proof" pics don't appear to be of the same trans... notice blue accents on pics up top and lack there of on the pics below.

the blue accents are factory axle caps (to keep out debris), they needed to be removed to take the pic showing the socket extension through the axle retaining area

if anyone has any questions on this trans call 1(800)553-1055

we are dropping the price $20 per working day until this sells

tomorrow the price will be $680 etc..
