No there has been people thinking this, No proof whatsoever.

e85 did raise corn prices, Il give you that. But i dont see a problem with the farmer trying to feed his family making a little money for once

you have to look past just corn consumption like you do oil in that think of what else it effects. For example, oil is not just used as gasoline, but as plastic, clothing, asphalt, etc i could literally go on forever. . . .

and regarding this whole subject let me quote myself again here. . . . .

I've met the OP and since i know these are his goals lets end the hijack and get back on point.

Bullshit....

Plus corn isnt the only thing they can make e85 out of, They can make it out of a special grass and even have a way to make it from trash. Its just there isnt enough interest in e85 because 1, American's are ******* dumb. and 2, because nobody carries e85

I dont believe its a permanent fix, But i do believe its the best alternative right now
look up the honda clarity better yet the latest top gear. Oh there is a cobalt in the time lapse at the end of the segment.

its all in the tuning... the stock flex fuel vehicles get less fuel economy because they are tuned that way from the factory... theres a local shop that pulled 300whp out of a single cam turbo civic with E85 and still got 55mpg...

if you don't know **** about E85 or the tuning capabilities it brings then STFU! and keep this tghread on topic... does the title say "E85 bashing thread"? no... it's a for sale thread so take the bullshit somewhere else.

You guys are retarted. Lets do a little science here. Gasoline under STP burns at 14.7 parts air to 1 part gasoline. E85 burns at ~7 parts air to 1 part E85. So yes you get higher octane, but you are using twice as much. So take your $1.40 cent gas and multiply that by 2 right off the bat, then when you're done with that AND you're done trying to justify that the higher octane rating of E85 will net you higher MPG and realize you just fucked up, come talk to me. :-)

Let me ask you something, if E85 was even slightly better, and I mean even a **** hair better than gasoline, why does every car on the road not run E85? With the car companies about to be assassinated, you seriously believe they would....nevermind, Im not even going to bring that up, please refer to my first statement.

E85 was not meant to increase gas mileage, or be cheaper, or blah blah blah. It was meant to be a replacement for gasoline or to reduce our dependence on foreign oil, for when petro runs out, and a shitty one at that

When compared to race gas which is about $6 a gallon... i would say it's a pretty good deal for a higher octane rating...

now please keep this thread on topic... jesus christ.
