...what tune are you running?

is it actually slower than your last setup, or does it just feel slower?

Marca34 is tuning mine. He's known around here and does a really good job. It feels slower, but it feels like it has a ton of power that it's trying to push out but just can't. It can't breathe at all and I'll hit around 4-5k rpms and itll start kicking. I would immediately shift because I was too afraid to see what would happen if I didn't.

most people say 80mm tvs feels slower than the "kick" that the m62 gives even though the tvs is making more power

that sounds like tq management is on and trying to limit boost....i have had this problem before with my tvs

What did you do to fix it?

But yeah hopefully once all the expensive stuff is out of the way I can go meth and get a smaller pulley so I won't have the slower feeling.

found that one of tq management tables was still on

iirc, the log of it showed that map, maf, and/or ve started out smooth, and then towards the top it kinna leveled off but got wavy and you could kinna feel the car surging a bit...we were stumped for a while

I'll definitely have to get that checked when I get it retuned once all the parts are on. Thanks for the heads up! I appreciate it.

No I'm not sure, I'll have to double check with him. I'll update this thread as my build/tuning continues so others can use it as a reference.

Finally bought my last few parts. Just waiting for them to come in the mail, then the install and tune and HOPEFULLY have a nicely/smooth running TVS...

If I could recommend this build to others, it would be to buy ALL the recommended parts and dedicate a day or 2 to the install and tune.

I was definitely rushing my build for the Sept 10 meet and had NO idea what I was getting myself into so I ended up not getting everything I needed at once, so my car has been out of commission for nearly 2 weeks now. Not a good feeling. I miss it.

I have only myself to blame.

Hopefully you get her running smooth, what exactly do you mean by it will start kicking at 4-5k rpms?

Thanks, I'll keep this updated.

Once you give it some gas and you here the TVS spinning, you can feel it begin to pull but then it just starts to just make a kicking feeling. It's hard to describe. It really feels like the blower is having trouble pushing the air out. Too much power for my exhaust to handle I guess??

Is it like a jerky sorta kicking? Almost like the car isnt sporadically getting enough fuel?

Alright, this fixed my problem completely. It sounds like you are having the exact same difficulties as me so lets cross our fingers. Alright so locate your bypass valve (in pic below) and find the small hose that connects directly underneath it (not the one shown in the picture, the one you want is hidden underneath of it). Follow that hose.

Now, where that hose is connected, you can see is where i had to make a modification. There is a small piece of hose there with a screw in it.

I have no clue why or how it fixed the problem, it just did lol. And its not like i just came up with this myself, my tuner called Area47 and this is what he suggested to do, he said he had it like that on his car for like 40,000 miles haha. Let me know how you make out man. After we did that, we took the car out and she ripped straight through to 7400 without any problems.
